Mothers Day ♥

Happy Mothers Day to all you beautiful mums out there I hope you have all had a relaxed & peaceful day full of love & happiness!! I know some people think that Mothers day is a bit controversial because you should show love to your mum every single day of the year which is true. However I think dedicating a whole day just to your mum is quite lovely because we often think that our mums know how much we appreciate them yet we spend so much time living our lives that we don't actually have time to show all that love.

Today has been a really lovely day I woke up earlier than normal and decided to clean the kitchen and start on the chores for the day like stacking the dishwasher, putting all our clothes into the washing machine, hanging them up & then starting on preparing lunch for everyone. I then made my mum coffee and gave her presents that I had brought her. I mostly brought her small gimmicky presents as I'm pretty broke but she seemed pretty happy with the wine glass, notebook & perfume that I got her.

My mums friends then turned up and so did one of my mums friends sons and his girlfriend. It was great fun because he's a childhood friend of mine and I don't really get to see him or his brother much. We then all just had a relaxing day filled with lots of food, drink & music. We all caught up on the latest gossip and news and just had a really peaceful day.

I hope you guys have all had a beautiful day with your mums & family and if any of you guys out there don't have mums then I'm pretty sure that they're so proud of how amazing you have turned out to be. Keep making them proud because even though they're not there with you anymore they still love you so much. I'd love to hear about what some of you guys got up to today feel free to leave a comment down below..

Next Homeware Wishlist

So as Spring has sprung I thought that I would share with you some of the homeware from next that I'd love to purchase. The whole concept is a nautical/beach theme which reminds me of where I grew up which is near Brighton a sunny seaside town (more like a city!).

I've always wanted some sort of tray to place my candles on as I'm quite a clumsy person and I can defiantly see myself knocking a candle over. This is because I usually knock drinks over at least once or twice a week (it's rather embarrassing). So something like this which is so simple but effective would be great for me as it's also chic and pretty.

I think that this would be such a lovely canvas to place on my wall as I've already got a few canvases and I love them because they just brighten the room up. This particular canvas would look lovely on my wall during summer as that's the time when most people go to the beach.

How could I not include these three adorable candles which say "sandy toes & sunny kisses", "gone to the beach" & "you, me and the sea". I just think that these are really cute and would look great on a window seal or ledge in my room. I also like the fact that these candles are in a jar which means that the wax doesn't go everywhere.

Now every girl loves to buy cushions to accessorise their bed with don't they?? This one caught my eye as it's such a lovely cushion but it also has words which remind me of the beach which brings back lovely memories of my childhood.

This shelf would be perfect to place all of my summer nail polishes on or to just place little bits and bobs on it. Either way I really like this shelf because it's like two in one first of all you can place photos of you and your friends and then you can place either your keys or something else onto the shelf.

Collages are always a nice little touch to add to your room as they look pretty & cute but they also allow you to post some of your favorite photos. I also think that photo lines are a chic and glamorous way to make your bedroom special but keeping it tidy and organised too.

I hope you liked my Next homeware wishlist I'd really like to purchase some of these items when i eventually get around to re-decorating my room!!

Review | Simple Facial Wipes

The Good
Today's post is a review about the Simple facial wipes that I use. I've used these wipes for quite a while now and I really love them. I used to use the Nivea facial wipes when they ran out I decided to try something new so I chose these Simple ones instead. What I love about Simple products is that they are 100% perfume free. They thoroughly & gently cleanses, tones & freshens your skin without drying it out. It removes all make-upWith added moisturises to leave your skin feeling soft & smooth.

As I've said before when reviewing previous Simple products I love the price of most of their products because they're reasonable and can be picked up in any drugstore/high street store. I've also seen pretty good reviews on these facial wipes so I thought I would try them out myself. Isn't it crazy how we become influenced by something written by someone else leading us to eventually purchasing that specific product because we wanted to try it out for ourselves.

The Bad
There's only one or two bad points that come to mind when I think of this product one being that they should have more wipes in one packet because I go through one packet quite quickly!! Another negative point is that they dry up quite quickly which can  be a pain if you're in need of a wipe and they've all dried up. The last negative point is that these facial wipes claim to remove "eye make-up" however it takes me several attempts before the whole of it is removed.

Overall Opinion
I'd consider re-purchasing these if these were on offer again this is because I personally think that you can pick much better quality facial wipes for the exact same price or even cheaper!! However I'm glad that I tried them out as they're aren't bad for your skin and defiantly won't irritate it or break you out once you use them.

I Haven't Posted In A While. This Is Why

Hey guys so as you may have noticed this past week I haven't blogged at all and I do apologise for this. As I know a good blogger is suppose to blog on a regular basis which I haven't been doing!! So I guess that makes me a bad blogger or does it? Does it just make me human because I've been poorly this week and pretty busy as well.

So I guess being poorly is a great excuse to blog you would think?! In my case no this is because I lose all motivation and sitting in front of a computer to write a post isn't the way forward when you're ill. I guess people who don't blog don't actually understand how much effort and time goes into it. It's pretty much like a job that you don't get paid for you still have to spend a lot of time on it if you want anything to come out of it. Sometimes writing a review can take me around 2 hours because I make sure that I'm producing high-quality posts for you guys to enjoy.

This week I've also been extremely busy with college work as I've got multiple deadlines coming up and exam period is soon approaching. I'm constantly writing up notes and kind of forgetting that I even have a blog because I'm so busy.

I'm sorry for not posting and I know that you guys will understand as you always do. I always like to tell you guys why I haven't been blogging as I think it's important because this whole journey is a two way thing. I'm defiantly going to be putting more time and effort into my blog it might be a slow process at this moment of the year because I've got so much going on but I'm going to try my best.

The Sunday Topic No.8 A-Levels or BTECs

The Sunday Topic:
I wanted to start a series that I'm going to be running for the whole year one that's going to inspire people, make people happy and make them realise how beautiful life actually is!! So each Sunday I'm going to be posting a lifestyle post about something. This could be anything from good topics to dark topics that no one ever really talks about. By doing this I hope to open peoples eyes about how beautiful the world is but also how dark and lonely it can be.

What are A-Levles?
Within the UK we have these lovely things called A-Levels (I'm being sarcastic by the way). They're exams that we take from the age of 16-18. In the UK at the age of 16 you can either leave the education system and work or carry on and go to university etc..However I think that this is going to change or has already changed. Usually people who want to study A-Levels want to go to University although there are people who don't necessarily want to go to Uni they just want to take A-Levels to give them some more time to figure out what they want to do in life or who they want to be.

A-Levels are really hard and most people think that the gap between A-Levels and GCSE's is tiny but I kid you not it's like jumping from space to earth!! Now that's a big of an exaggeration I know however if you study A-Levels you will understand me. If you don't then there's one piece of advice I have for you if you decide to study them please please make sure you love the subjects you've chosen because if you don't then those two years will be awful for you!!

What are BTECs?
BTECs are a little different than A-Levels they're still qualifications but they don't have any exams at the end of the year they're based on coursework. This doesn't mean that they're still not stressful as you have deadlines to get everything done by. You get graded by pass, merit or distinction which are all equivalent to A (Distinction), B (Merit) and C (Pass). At A-Level they're normally equivalent to 1 A-Level which still means that you can go to university if you want to.

The Good
Nowadays society allows you to choose what you want to do with your life whether it be work, A-Levels or BTECs you can choose!! This is good because there's so many different people within this world that not everyone wants to do the same as everyone. It opens up lots of doors for you and you'll defiantly have a wider variety of opportunities after you've completed these two years.

The Bad
You really have to work hard when you leave school if you choose to go onto further education even if you're just doing BTECs because they're still hard to keep up with!! You kind of kiss your social life goodbye because all you spend your weekends doing is revising and doing bag loads of homework. Those two years of your life will defiantly test your friendships, family relationships and just general day to day life. This is because you become stressed on a daily basis and just get annoyed.

What I'm doing?
So if you don't already know I'm currently studying Sociology A-Level, Business BTEC & ICT BTEC. I was studying French A-Level, Business A-Level and Sociology A-Level last year however I ended up failing the year and I had to re-take it. Which is why I stress how tough A-Levels really are they're not just a walk in the park. If you want good grades you really have to work hard for them many people say that they're harder than university can you believe it???

My Future
So at the moment I honestly don't know what I want to do in life or who I want to be. I'm kind of just taking life day by day to see what happens and what opportunities arise. I do feel down sometimes as most of my friends know what they want to do and I'm there not knowing anything. I'm sure in the near future I'll figure out what I want to do (Watch this space!!).

Review | Kate Moss Rimmel Shade 101

This is my second Rimmel Lipstick review and I have to say this one I don't like as much as my other lipstick this is because I think that the colour doesn't really suit me. However I did like the lipstick itself because as I've said before Rimmel lipsticks are known for being of high quality within the beauty world and I absolutely love the Kate Moss collection.

This particular lipstick is a matte lipstick which means that it gives a velvety lasting finish which I loved. This is because the lipstick itself looks intense and the colour lasts all day long!! Even though I don't particularly like the colour at the moment I'm hoping I'll grow to love it because it is a really nice colour. I just don't think it suits my skin tone that's all if not I'll probably give it to a friend.

This lipstick is great for spring as it's a soft pink tone it would be great for a day date or even a night date. I suggest if you're going on a day date to pair it with a cute girly dress, sandals or wedges and some natural make-up with maybe curly or straight hair. On the other hand if you're going on a night date then this lipstick would go perfectly with anything white and subtle make-up.

I'd love to purchase more lipsticks from Rimmel in particular the Kate Moss collection because they are fantastic pigmentation. They also last a long time which means that you don't have to worry about topping your lipstick up throughout the day. Like I've said many times before Rimmel are such a reasonable brand. They're also quite popular in the UK after being one of the top brands found in high street stores.
