Haul | Boots March 2015

Hello everyone so today's blog post is me sharing with you a few things that I've brought from Boots. I did the usual thing where I went in to get one thing and came out with other things that just so happened to jump in my basket (anyone else do this too?). Recently I've been going to Boots a lot more than Superdrug but only because it's close to my work and I can pop in after my shift. However I personally prefer Superdrug I just think it's a lot more affordable for me especially.

The first few products that I picked up were these Rita Ora nail varnishes. Now I know I said in a couple of blog posts or videos back that I wouldn't be purchasing any nail polishes  any time soon as I can't wear them for work. However as soon as I saw these I just had to pick up a few I mean they're gorgeous. I have Sweet Retreat and Roll In The Grass on at the moment and I have to say they are so pigmented and they are perfect for Spring.

Neon Fest
Roll In The Grass
Sweet Retreat

The second thing that I picked up were these nose strips. I can't quiet remember if I have mentioned them before but I love them especially these ones. I've tried other ones from different brands but these are the best ones. They really work well although they are quiet expensive they do the job and I definitely recommend them. I tend to use one once a week as they can make that area of your face area quiet dry.

Bioré® Original Deep Cleansing Pore Strips 6s £7.99

I picked up these face wipes as I had run out of mine. I usually go for Nivea wipes however Simple are always my second choice if the Nivea ones aren't on offer. When I was looking at all of the different face wipes and I can't quiet believe how expensive they were. However I really needed them so I chose these ones which seemed the best option. There were other wipes that were cheaper but I wanted to stick to a brand that I knew and loved.

The next thing that I brought were these paracetamol tablets now I know some people tend to buy the more expensive ones but these work just as well in my opinion. I usually pick up two or three boxes as I place them in various places such as in my school bag, work bag and at home. I like to have a few on me all the time as you can get a headache or a tummy ache at any time.

Boots Paracetamol £0.95

The last thing that I brought were these baby wipes. I find these really useful as first of all these ones were cheap and secondly they can be used for anything. I usually use them to wipe up any make-up that has smudged on my dressing table or to clean my hands after I've done my make-up. They're also useful when you spill things which I do a lot so having these around will make cleaning up things such as make-up, juice or snacks much easier.

Wishlist | Tobi Festival Clothing Wishlist 2015

Hey guys so today's blog post is a short one as I have a lot to do this weekend. Easters fast approaching and I have lots of coursework due in before it begins. This is why I won't be uploading a video tomorrow because I have work and I don't have time to film today. I'm also unsure whether I'll be uploading a blog post tomorrow or not.

Lets get started with today's blog post I thought that I would share with you some of the items of clothing that I love from Tobi's festival range. I've picked pieces of clothing that I would definitely wear myself. I usually tend to stick towards clothes which are more comfortable than "fashionable". Although all of them may seem quiet expensive they are all gorgeous and extremely suitable for a festival or Summer.

5 Places That I'd Like To Visit

Hey how are you? What's going on? How's your Wednesday going? Well mine's going well so far I've just woken up it's 10am here in London and I have my breakfast bar and tea right next to me so I'm all ready to write this blog post. Today's topic is about travel I love to travel and I have been to some amazing places in my time such as South Africa, Italy, Turky, Egypt, Finland, Portugal and Barcelona to name a few.

I thought that I would do this post to share with you guys some of the places that I would like to visit either in the near future or future. I've also seen other bloggers do the same post and I love to read where they want to go and why I think travel says a lot about a person because they could want to go on a holiday based on adventure or relaxation.

Barcelona
One of the places that I'd like to visit is Barcelona now this is kind of a cheat as I have already visited the city before. However I was only there for one evening when I went on the Cruise back in 2013. When we finished the cruise we went straight to the airport so I never really got the chance to explore. I loved the whole atmosphere there everyone was so welcoming.

We only ate at one restaurant but it was lovely it wasn't a chain restaurant so the owners were really lovely. At first we thought it might not be nice as we were the only people in there but the food was delicious and all of the staff were accommodating. The hotel that we stayed at was in the middle of the city which meant that we could explore some of the shops at night time. The streets are filled with amazing architecture unfortunately we weren't able to visit the Sagrada Familiao or anywhere else. This is why I'd love to go again and definitely in the summer so we can go to the beach as well.

Paris
I've always loved the idea of Paris I mean first of all it is the city of love after all and secondly it's so close to London. Why I have never been there I don't know I have been to Disneyland Paris but that's not the same as going to Paris itself. I love everything about French culture the food, the people, the language and the shopping. I know for a fact when I'm older and have my own children I want to bring them up bilingual speaking both English and French.

I can speak French myself although I do need a bit of practice as I haven't spoken it fluently for about two years now. When I get the chance to go to Paris I will be doing all of the touristy things except from visiting the museums as they aren't really my thing. Although the Parisians are thought to be rude and unwelcoming that doesn't put me off going there why would it apparently us Londoners are rude too. Okay so we are definitely more prone to rudeness when it's raining but the majority of the time we aren't that bad.

Seattle
The third place that I'd like to visit is Seattle this is because first of all I have fallen in love with the city from watching Grey's Anatomy and I'm sure if you watch it too then you might have as well. It looks so vibrant at night time and I love how the city's mostly surrounded by water so you have to take ferry boats. Ever since I've moved to London five years ago I have loved everything about living in a city. I love the food options, the hustle and bustle of every day life and the opportunity to meet so many different people. So taking a holiday to another city is right up my street although I do love beach holidays I also love holidays where you explore.

Thailand
I've always wanted to visit Thailand whether it's a family holiday or travelling I want to go. I love the thought of exploring this beautiful place filled with adventure and rich in culture. Although I'd love to spend lots of time at the beaches it's not top on my list I'd also like to help the community, visit the cities, visit a temple and learn to cook some local dishes. When I do visit Thailand I would like to go with a few friends or family members I would never go alone as it can be dangerous for women especially although this may be a stereotype it's always better to be safe than sorry.

Santorini
The last place that I would like to visit is Santorini which is a Greek island. Ever since seeing the photos from Zoella, Alfie, Marcus, Tanya, Jim and Niomi's holiday I have wanted to go. It's such a picturesque place and it looks so enchanting both during the day and at night. I think it's more of a place to visit as a couple or with friends rather than a family holiday location. It's definitely my type of holiday as I do like relaxing holidays too I'd love to go and sit by the pool all day reading a good book. As well as this I have always liked Greek food as some of it is so tasty my favourite is the traditional Greek salad you can never go wrong with that.

The Sunday Topic No.6 Living in London

Hey guys so first of all sorry for not posting a TST in a while I've been super busy recently and this series is a big thing for me. Each post takes quite a while for me to write as I want them to be informative but also interesting. Also I'm not the type of blogger to pre-write posts and schedule them no no no I usually just write them on the day as I have no time to do that. Even when I do have days off they are usually spend relaxing and catching up on homework.

The Sunday Topic:
I wanted to start a series that I'm going to be running for the whole year one that's going to inspire people, make people happy and make them realise how beautiful life actually is!! So each Sunday I'm going to be posting a lifestyle post about something. This could be anything from good topics to dark topics that no one ever really talks about. By doing this I hope to open peoples eyes about how beautiful the world is but also how dark and lonely it can be.

Living in London
Many people think that living in London is somewhat glamorous and amazing. I guess it can be in some aspects but I'm going to share with you my view of living here. In my opinion living in London is just like living in any other city it's full of unique people, opportunities and things to do. However there are some downsides to living here it's expensive for one a cinema ticket will cost  you around £12 if you're an adult and the traffic is unreal at times.

My story
I moved to London when I was 13 so that's five years ago which is quite a long time when I think about it. When I first heard that I was going to move to London I honestly couldn't think of anything worse. We used to live by the beach so moving from there to a big city was terrifying for me and all I wanted to do was stay by the beach for the rest of my life soaking up the sun and eating 99p ice creams.

However now I've lived here and experienced living in London for 7 years I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I have met some life long friends and I've had so many opportunities handed to me which I wouldn't have if I had stayed in the small town where I grew up. I love living in here and I can honestly say with a hand on my heart that I do. It's been such a unique experience whether or not I will live here forever who knows but for now it's amazing.

Some things I recommend doing in London (Personal preference)
- Visiting one of the markets (Campden, Borough, Brick Lane, Covent Garden or Portobello Road)
- Go to a show (my faves are Billy Elliot, The Lion King or Wicked)
- Visit a museum (Either the British or the Natural History they both have breathtaking architecture)

- Go for afternoon tea
- Visit Harrods or Liberty (Even if you're not going to buy something these are great places to window shop!!)
- Go on the London Eye
- Walk by the Thames at night (especially by South bank & Tower Bridge)
- Visit the Shard

Some things I don't recommend doing (Personal preference)
- Going to Oxford Street at peak times (It could drive you crazy)
- Don't go to Hyde Park (it's one of the most obvious parks everyone goes there) go Regents park it's a beautiful park and you almost feel like you're not even in London.
- Going to Madame Tussauds (Personally I don't like wax figures)

10 Thing I love about London
- The public transport is amazing although not at peak times
- The atmosphere in Summer is unforgettable
- Any food you fancy you can have at your door step within 45 minutes
- The Christmas lights
- We are one of the most diverse city ever
- The black cabs are pretty good here (unless it's raining then you might struggle to find one)
Sarcasm is our forte
- Tube stations write quote of the days on their boards sometimes which I like
- We know how to party
It’s a city of infinite possibilities, and everyone is welcome

10 Things I hate/dislike about London
- Rush hour on public transport 6-9 am & 5-7 pm
- You hear sirens constantly
- Sunday travelling can be a pain as there are lots of rail works
- People can be very rude for no reason
- Sometime tourists annoy me when I'm in a rush to get to work and they are just standing in my way taking photos (Asks politely to move)
-  Nobody ever says thank you to the bus driver any more (including me) it's not that we are rude it's because we are often rushing off somewhere we forget or don't have time to
- When it rains everyone becomes miserable (Yes this is true)
- When there is a transport strike getting around London is near impossible
- The air is humid/stuffy at times it can also be unbearable
- There's always a queue (for restaurants, attractions & so on) but we always seem to wait

Why Social Media Is Important

Hey all you lovely people today's blog post is all about social media. This is directed towards both new bloggers as well as ones who have been blogging for a while. I don't think people understand how much work who goes into writing a blog let alone all of the admin, marketing and promotion that go along side it.

Nowadays anyone knows the impact that social media has I mean one photo can go viral within a matter of minutes. It's important that you use social media when you are writing a blog or making youtube videos to the best of their ability's. I use my social media on a daily basis if not an hourly basis I like to keep my readers/viewers up to date.

I like to link all of my social media platforms at the bottom of each blog post/video. Once I have written and published or uploaded something I will then use my various social media platforms to let you guys my readers or viewers know that I have done this. I do this for many reasons the two main ones for me are it keeps my followers up to date and of course to promote myself.

Some of my social media tips and tricks:
- Update your social media platforms at peak times (6-10 pm)
- Make friends through your social media
- Interact with other users
- Use hashtags if possible (but not too many!!)
- Update all of your social media platforms when you have uploaded a new video or blog post

Bloglovin
Many people nowadays who write a blog use Bloglovin it allows you to "Follow your favorite blogs with Bloglovin. Discover what's best in Fashion, Beauty, Lifestyle & more. Sign up or login today & never miss a single post!". I use bloglovin mainly when I'm on the go as it's such an easier way to browse many blogs when I'm out and about and cannot use a laptop or computer. I also think that bloglovin is a great way to interact with other bloggers as many people use it. What I also like about bloglovin is that it automatically uploads your posts straight from your blog which means you don't really have to do anything to update it.

Twitter
The second social media platform that I use is twitter nowadays everyone uses twitter it's such a popular site and it should be it's great fun. I can really rely on twitter brightening up my day when I've had a bad one. I love all my followers although at the moment I am following a lot of people I don't really care what other people think it's a way to get myself out there. I love to interact with my followers and I have honestly met so many lovely people through it. I do understand that twitter can be a horrible place at times especially if you are the target but it can also be an inspiring, beautiful and exciting place where you meet amazing people.

Instagram
I haven't been using instagram long however I wished that I have used it right from the start. I absoutely adore it now I really love making sure that all of my photos match so that my instagram profile as a whole looks inviting. It's nice to have a social platform which is just about images I like to see the photos that the bloggers and youtubers who I follow post. It's like having a diary which is just photo based it'll be nice in a year or two when I have had my profile for a while to see all of the old photos that I have posted.

Google +
If you don't know what Google + is then it's quite like its own blog in itself. You are able to post things such as a post, video, links, events and polls among many other things. I have found using Google + really useful as it enables you to share your blog posts etc with the public (which makes it easier for you to gain an audience). I always make sure that I share my blog posts or videos on Google + once I have uploaded them as I might have some viewers or readers who only look at my Google + profile. It's such an easy platform to run as you don't really have to type much you only have to link the url from your blog post to it then it will direct them to the actual post once they have clicked on it.

Facebook
The last social media platform that I have been using is Facebook this is also the newest one that I have been using for my blog. I decided to create one as I wasn't hiding my blog or youtube channel anymore. I have liked it so far however because it is new to my blog I do sometimes forget to update it haha. It's probably the social media platform which I have the least interaction on as it's quite hard to gain an audience from it unless you pay to promote it. However I have liked using it as it has enabled me to interact with my friends on Facebook who maybe don't know or have just found out that I write a blog.

I know that social media in general can be hard to keep up to date even more so when you have a blog. However in my opinion having these five social media platforms alongside your blog can have a massive impact on it. It will enable you to interact with your readers or viewers therefore getting you out there for people to see. I love using all of these platforms and I am so thankful for them as they have increased the traffic to both my blog and youtube channel.

Five Things Friday 13.03.15

You may have realised that I haven't uploaded one of these posts in a while (a month to be exact). I have had so much on my plate recently that I just haven't remembered to. I'm not one of those perfect bloggers (if they even exist) sometimes I'll just scrap blogging for the day and do other things as it's ultimately my choice whether I upload or not. So sorry for not uploading but I'm hoping to do one at least every week or every other week from now on (no promises!!)

So I thought that I would start this series called Five things Friday now it's not like I just made it up myself I've seen many bloggers do exactly the same post but on their blog. If you haven't already guessed what it is then I'll let the cat out of the bag every Friday I'm going to be looking back on my week and sharing with you guys five good things that happened that week. I think that it's such a lovely way to keep a mini record of my life as you often forget those little things that happen on a daily basis.

One
The first thing that I am going to talk about this week is my driving lessons. This is because I've recently started learning with a new driver which was daunting at first but I soon settled into learning with someone new. It's one of those things that everyone learns at one point or another in their life whether it's when you're 17 or when you're 45.

When I first started with this new driving instructor he discovered that I had a lot of flaws in my driving as I had previously learnt before with someone else. This made each lesson frustrating for the both of us as I wanted to do more things than I had done with my old instructor where as my new one wanted to work on these flaws.

Turns out he was completely right and he said that if I worked on my bad areas that my whole driving would turn around and that I would become a really good driver. So each lesson consisted of me going back over my bad areas and re-training myself which was stressful to an extent for me. As I had to re-train my brain to learn the same things a different way in order to do them correctly and safely.

You are probably wondering why I am waffling on about driving well I decided to put driving lessons into this week's five things Friday because this week I had a driving lesson that went really well. I think my brains finally learnt how to use the steering wheel properly (which was my biggest flaw) so with that in mind I was happy with this week's lesson. So now that all of these bad areas are being fixed I may be able to pass around my birthday time which will be a year after I took my theory (fingers crossed!!).

Two
The second thing that has made me happy this week is getting all of my coursework for two of my subjects which are completely coursework based sorted and completed. Well I say completed I still have one more unit for each subject to complete but that's five out of six units done and dusted. If you do coursework based subjects then you will know how stressful it can be at times.

Although there's always been that bravado between A-Level students and BTEC students. I have found that students who solely do a-levels think that us btec students are talking "crap" when we say how hard it can be at times. But this is true btec's can be a huge handful at times as you have deadlines to meet whilst juggling many other things. I don't think people realise how useful btec's are as you pick up many skills from it such as time management and prioritising among many other skills.

Three
The third good thing that has happened to me this week is that I 100% know what I want to do in the near future. I definitely want to do a higher apprenticeship instead of go to university. University just isn't the right path for me so I wouldn't want to spend all that money for nothing and drop out.

I'm not going to explain the whole story behind this because it's pretty long. However the experience has made me realise that as one door closes another one opens. Which is so true I knew that at some point in my life an amazing opportunity would come around that I couldn't take because of other commitments.

However I have now learnt that although that opportunity may seem amazing at the time it might have been an awful experience. So I guess you never know which opportunity is the right one for you. You just have to gamble one and see what happens (which is what I learnt this week). So now I know that there might be just as good an apprenticeship for me in September than the amazing one which was on offer this week.

Four
I have the interior design bug. Every time I walk past a home ware shop I just have to go inside and have a look. I've been loving Tiger Tiger and Oliver Bonas they both do such reasonable home ware items. I brought such a beautiful cake stand from Tiger Tiger which I'm going to use to put some perfume bottles on (blog post or video coming soon).

Five
The last thing this week is that I have really been interacting with you guys this week. I've also decided to set up my own collaboration YouTube channel (coming soon) which will mean that I get to interact with you guys even more. I love finding out why you read my blog or watch my videos it's just amazing to see some of your responses. I've also been talking to a lot of people from all over the world this week which has been pretty cool.

The Breakfast Club

When I first heard the "The Breakfast Club" I immediately thought that we were talking about the movie from 1985 (Which is amazing by the way). However we were actually talking about a restaurant by this point I had never heard of it before so I decided to search it up. As soon as my eyes saw the dishes that were available on the menu I really wanted to go.

As usual I made plans to go several times with different people but they always fell through. So when I heard that some of my old friends were going as a group I jumped at the chance. We decided to go to the one that was in Battersea Rise this is because it is one of the bigger restaurants therefore the waiting time would be smaller.

It's so popular that you have to wait outside for a table as everyone goes there especially as it was a Sunday that we went. With that in mind we asked one of our friends who lived closer to the restaurant to go and get in the line earlier so that when we all arrived we could go straight in. What we didn't know is that if all of our party weren't there then we couldn't go in and get a table we had to wait in the que until everyone arrived.

Once we had all arrived we went into the right hand side entrance which is separate from the main restaurant. This was decorated completely different as it was a smaller restaurant which was decorated with darker colours. Whereas the main restaurant is light and airy with bright colours. Aside from this it was still the same atmosphere everyone seemed happy talking away.

I had already decided beforehand what I wanted as I had made sure to do my research on their menu before I went there (being a newbie and all I had to). I decided upon the pancakes with berries and a side of bacon (I felt obligated to go all American). I have tired pancakes and bacon once or twice before and it's such a yummy combination.

The pancakes themselves were big and fluffy just what you would expect American style pancakes to be like. The berries were fresh and the cream was delicious however I would say there wasn't enough maple syrup. However we just asked for some more and they brought some out without any hesitation. All of the waiting staff there were attentive and lovely they contributed to the relaxed atmosphere.

It was the perfect place to go on a Sunday mid-morning as everyone was in a good mood. I'd also say the prices of the dishes were pretty reasonable for the portion that you get. I had such a lovely time catching up with friends who all go to university now so I don't see them as much. I loved the whole atmosphere of the restaurant and I would definitely go again as I'd love to try something else on their menu.

Have you ever been to the Breakfast Club?

Oliver Bonas Haul

Hey guys so a couple of days ago I popped into Oliver Bonas on the way home. I wanted to just have a browse and pick up a few items to put on my new Kallax shelving unit from Ikea. I came out with these three items all of them are super cute and I can't wait to put them on my shelves. I'm hoping to use this new unit as my background for my YouTube videos so keep an eye out to see if my background changes.

The first item that I picked up was this small Kyler copper tray which was only £12. I actually got the idea of getting a copper tray from one of Zoella's latest homeware hauls. I can't quite remember if she has the same tray or a similar one. I'm so in love with it as it will add some colour to my plain white shelving unit. I could either use it as an object to place things upon when taking some blog post photos or I could use it as storage. I'm thinking of using it to place some perfume bottles on it as it makes

The second item that I brought was this green Astrid Bowl which was only £4.50. I thought that it was really cute. They have around six different colours along with small trays that match each pattern and colour. I'd love to collect them all so that I can place them around my room and use them as storage. I think that they will be perfect for putting my lip balms, bracelets, hair bands and hair grips as well as small miscellaneous objects that don't really have a place.

The last item that I picked up was this candle although they did bigger ones and medium ones I chose this one as it was £14. I didn't want to comitt to any of the larger ones as they were quite expensive and I didn't want to buy one and not like it. I also chose this one because it's different and will sit perfectly on my side table or on my new shelves. As you can probably tell at the moment I'm searching for little things to place upon my shelves so that I have more storage places but also so that it looks pretty and organised.

The Sunday Topic No.5 - Blogging

Hey guys so first of all sorry for not posting a TST in a while sometimes it gets to Sunday and I have no ideas what to write for this blog post. So I would rather leave it until the next week than post something which is boring and rushed.

What is blogging?
So in case you are unfamiliar with the term "blogging" or the world of blogging then I will explain it to you. Blogging is basically when you write down your thoughts, opinions or feelings on a particular subject or object on a blog. Now in my opinion blogging is when people actually write a post or a review I don't count Tumblr accounts or Instagram accounts as blogs. Don't get me wrong if you think your Tumblr account is a blog then that's fine but personally I don't.

In order to be a blogger you usually upload on a regular basis whether this be daily or weekly. However in order to keep your audience engaged you need to upload quite frequently. I find that nowadays some people only blog for the sake of it or to become "internet famous. However there are a lot of people who blog for themselves as they see their blog as like an online diary. There are many things people blog about whether this be about make-up, fashion, lifestyle, travel, beauty, cooking or day-to-day shenanigans

Why do I blog?
To begin with I began to blog because I had nothing else to do apart from being obsessed with the Sims 3 at that time and spending my time watching TV shows and lots of DVD's my life was pretty dull. Then I discovered the world of blogging and ever since I have never looked back. I wanted to blog for myself so that I could look back on it in the future and be proud of it.

I'm not one of those individuals who is creative when it comes to painting, a star athlete or the next Einstein. So I wanted something of my own that people would be proud of me for achieving and I think I have found that thing.  I find that these days I still blog for myself as I never pressure myself into blogging if I don't feel like blogging that day I won't.

Do any of my friends blog?
Yes a few of my friends do blog and some of them even started because of me!! Which is pretty cool because you feel like you have inspired them. I love to see people get inspired by others so me inspiring someone really makes me feel good. I have loved helping them set up their blog and giving them my advice for running and looking after their blog.

What do my family or friends think of me writing a blog?
Originally only some of my friends know which was quite a big thing for me as I hadn't told anyone. Gradually I began to tell a few family members and some more friends as time went on. Then about a week ago I let it all slip out and I told everyone I knew via my social media sites. This was a massive thing for me as blogging can be hard to understand which is why so many bloggers I know haven't told their family too.

I totally understand why they keep it a secret as it's something your afraid to tell people because of the reaction that you might get. It could go either way they could think your really cool and brave or they could be like why would you do that what's the fun in it type of thing. When it came down to me I thought 100% that no one would understand and that people would judge me straight away as it turns out I was wrong. Everyone understood and they were all so supportive of me.

Some of my tips and tricks when it comes to blogging
- If you are thinking of starting a blog then DO IT
- Be aware of companies approaching you not all of them are real!
- Only do opportunities with companies that you feel comfortable with!
- Blog when you want to not when people want you to
- Write what you want to write about it's your blog after all
- Use social media to get your blog out there
- Make lots of blog friends (they come in handy when you need advice)
- Go on blogging meet-ups (they're fun and you meet lots of different bloggers)
- Link all of your social media at the bottom of your posts
- Use bloglovin!

My blogging future
At the moment I'm so happy with where my blog is at I love that I can just write about anything that I want and I know that you guys won't think I'm crazy or weird. I would love it if my blog lasted for a long time and that I was able to do this for many years. I would definitely love to collab with more people on my blog as I seem to do more of those on my channel than my blog. Of course I would love it if more people read it and shared it but that's not my top priority. I would love to write about a mixture of different things as well and just grow my blog in my own way.
