A Simple Skincare Routine

Hey lovelies today I'm going to be sharing with you my latest skincare routine in a short but sweet post. I've always used different products within my skincare routine however recently I decided to stick to one brand to see what happens. I've always been a fan of the brand Simple for many reasons their products never break me out, they're reasonable and they always seem to be my go-to brand for skincare. I have tried the moisturiser and the face wash before so I know they work on my skin. However I haven't tried the micellar cleansing water or the foaming cleanser.

The Routine:
1. First of all I grab a cotton pad and use the micellar cleansing water. I wipe the pad all over my face using the back and the front of the pad.

2. Next I make sure that my face is wet then I pump the foaming cleanser once and then massage it into my face for a few minutes. I then wash it off and pat my face dry.

3. After I have done that I wet my face again and then go in with the face wash. I put a reasonable amount on my fingertips and then rub it into my hands until it creates a foamy consistency. Once I have reached this stage I apply it to my face and then wash it off and pat my face dry.

4. The last part of my skincare routine is applying the moisturiser. Once I have pat my face dry from using the face wash I wait a couple of minutes until I apply it. I try to apply a little bit first and then layer it up instead of using a lot and having a lot left over.

So there it is that's my updated skincare routine it's very simple which is perfect for me. I have really noticed a difference in my skin recently as I've also been eating well which helps a lot. I would normally do this sort of thing on my YouTube account but I thought that I would do it o my blog this time.

What's your skincare routine like? Do you only use one brand?

What's On My Ikea Malm Chest Of Draws?

Hello everyone and happy Friday Y E S it's finally the weekend so we can all take a deep breath out. In today's blog post I have decided to share with you what's on the top of my chest of draws. First of all this is from Ikea it's the MALM Chest of 3 drawers, white £39I got this the same time that I got my shelving unit and I may even pick another one up soon as it's so handy. I don't just store my clothes in it but I also store my make up in the top draw.

It was fairly easy to put together although I'd suggest you have a friend with you when you do. I just asked one of my guy friends to help me out and he actually did the most of it I was in charge of handing him the correct parts. Before I knew it I had a fully made chest of draws which I actually love. It's so convenient for me as I can store a lot inside and on the top of it.

I'm definitely going to be doing a make-up storage video soon when I sort it all out. At the moment it's a bit un-organised as I'm still looking for the perfect storage. So let me know if you would like to see that....

And A New Chapter Begins

First of all I want to say sorry for not posting a blog post in four days I've been super busy. This last week has just been so hectic I had my two Sociology A2 exams as well as work. So I just though I'd put my blog on the back burner for that week to focus on the exams. Don't you worry though now I've finished I can start to write many more blog posts for you guys to read.

Last Thursday was the end of a chapter within my life as well as the beginning of a new one. I sat my last ever exam in terms of school or college. It also marked the end of my school/college days it seems weird as I have been going to school every day Monday to Friday since I was four. Now I've finished forever as I'm not attending University. I may take courses in the future for photography, video or anything else so I'm not ruling it out completely. But in terms of learning in a classroom I think I'm done for now which is exciting but also quite daunting.

I am planning on taking upon a higher apprenticeship in Digital Marketing which I'm very excited about as running a blog and a YouTube channel involves a lot of digital marketing. I'm really looking forward to this next chapter in my life as I've spent quite a lot of my life already in education. I also can't wait to meet new people as I've been with the same group of people at sixth form for a long time.

At this point in my life I'm ready for a new chapter as sometimes the chapter you're currently living in can become overwhelming. I also really loved the quote that I found as I think it really fits the theme of this blog post. I will definitely be updating you with all the latest information about my new job when I get one.

My Trek America Dream Trip

Recently I've been into all thing's Trek America from their website to people's instagram photos and tweets. I'm just loving it at the moment as I'm a huge fan of travelling as I'm sure most of you already know. Trek America are a travelling company based in America that specialise in tours for people aged 18-38. They have wide range of tours from New York to LA, Vancouver to Calgary, Anchorage to Anchorage, San Jose to San Jose and Mexico City to Panama City so there's definitely something for everyone.

I bet you're wondering by now where this craze for Trek America has come from. Well last year I watched Victoria's vlogs from InTheFrow she went on a trek for three months with them!! I absoutely love both her blog and youtube channel so I was super excited when her vlogs started popping up in my subscription box. You can check out all of her Trek America vlogs here and her blog post about it here.

A more recent source of information has been from the lovely Corrie from DizzyBrunette3. Corrie went on a trek around two weeks ago now which isn't really that long in terms of travel. I've been loving her vlogs which you can watch here sadly today she uploaded the last one which was bittersweet. I've also been loving reading her blog post on it which you can read here.

I wrote a comment on her last vlog which said "This is such a bittersweet vlog for me. Bitter because it's the last one from you Corrie but sweet because it's helped me decide that I 100% want to go on a Trek America trip next year. So hopefully I will be able to and vlog my experience like you."

So it goes to show how much these blog posts and vlogs have influenced me in making a final decision. That being that I definitely 100% want to try and go on one next year depending on when I'm available and the cost.

Southern Sun Route
I'd love to go on the Southern Sun trek based in America. This particular trek can either start in New York or Los Angeles and end in either one. The Southern Sun trek is camping based with a few nights in hotels. I'm not that worried about camping as I quite easily adapt to change so going from a hotel room to a tent won't bother me that much. The whole trip lasts around 21 days depending if you stay a day extra either end of the trip to explore the citys.

Some of the highlights of the tour (taken from the Trek America website) include:
- Cruise the Las Vegas Strip in a super-stretch limo
- Philadelphia's famous 'Rocky' steps and Liberty Bell
- Hike the lush trails of the Appalachian Mountains
- Visit the homeland of Elvis Presley in Memphis
- The sweet sounds of Nashville, New Orleans & Austin
- Navajo culture and scenery in Monument Valley

Even though I haven't been on a trek yet I highly recommend you checking it out if you are taking a gap year or you're thinking of travelling. I really really want to go on a trek and I'm going to work at being able to go on one next year starting from now. That means saving up money and planning things out so I can ask work to have the time off.

Review | Benihana Chelsea, London

On Monday I went to the Benihana restaurant in Chelsea, London for a pre-birthday thing for my best friend. I have to admit I've been to a teppanyaki restaurant before but it was on a boat instead of on land!! I really enjoyed it the first time and the second time was no different for me. If you don't know what teppanyaki is it's a Japanese style of cooking where the chefs cook food right in front of you on a big grill. Benihana are a Japanese steakhouse and sushi restaurant based in the UK however the chain originates from America.

Before the birthday girl arrived I asked one of the members of staff if they could add her name on the screen as it was her birthday soon. They did this without any problems even though we didn't ask when we rang up. They also offered to sing to her when she received her pudding which I said yes to as I thought it would be a nice edition to the meal.

Once she arrived we headed over to the restaurant part where each "table" had their own grill where a chef would come to prepare your food right in front of you. Each table had around eight place settings so that meant that we were joined by other people. This can sometimes be awkward as we are not used to sitting with others. However it's also a great experience as you can meet new people. They also had bigger tables for families on the other side of the restaurant.

To begin the evening we all decided to get a mock-tail (non-alcoholic). I got the Strawberry Kiss which had orange juice, fresh strawberry and strawberry syrup inside of it. It was really yummy and I'm so glad that I went for that one the only downside I would say is that it's really sugary so I couldn't drink it all at once.

On to the food (the most important part in my opinion) we decided to get some sushi to start with so we went for the Prawn Tempura (Fried prawn). It was delicious and I'm so glad that we did get some sushi as I'm a big fan. You could definitely it was freshly made and that we all enjoyed it as it was all gone by the end. The sushi was served with soya sauce which is perfect with sushi.

We then had to decide which main dish to go for. The way teppanyaki works is that you choose which meat or fish you want for the main and then other editions are included in the meal such as soup, vedgetables and rice. I decided to pick the Benihana Delight which is prawn and chicken it also came with Japanese onion soup, Benihana salad, steamed rice, hibachi vegetables and prawn appetizer. For dessert we got the ice cream tempaura and the cheese cake dumpling (Not pictured above). Both of them were so yummy but I only had a few bites as I was full from the main course and starter.

Overall opinion
If you are ever in London visiting or you live here and you have never been to Benihana then you should they have a few around London. There's restaurants in Chelsea, St Pauls and Piccadilly so you could go to either one. I highly recommend it as it's so much fun I do have to admit that the bill adds up quickly however it's worth it as you are paying for an experience, food and the service at the end of the day.

All three of us had such a lovely evening as it's probably the last time we will all meet up before we split up for Summer. It's definitely a great place to celebrate any birthdays or anniversary for example. If you aren't really an adventurous person when it comes to food then I definitely think it's worth a try as you never know you may end up loving it.

A Little Catch Up

Hey there lovelies happy Monday!! Today I'm just catching you guys up on a few things. I'm sorry I haven't been posting this past weekend as I've had a lot going on which I will explain in a moment.

Recently
As you probably know from recent blog posts it was my birthday a few weeks ago. As my parents are split up celebrations such as birthdays and Christmas usually last over a longer period of time than they would normally. It was also my little brother's 12th birthday so I went down to my dads to celebrate that as well as mine.

As you can see from the photos above he had a pretty cool birthday party with lots of bouncy castle things, hot dogs, jelly and ice cream and a games truck. He has the same party each year and all the boys he invites love it as they can just run wild and eat as much as they want. I also had  a lovely time as one of my old school friends who I've known for 10 years came down which was fun. We spent time catching up, watching CSI NY, eating lots of bad food and generally just relaxing as well as helping out a lot.

Exams
I have my first and last exams next week 15th & 18th June which are my Sociology A2. I'm not the most prepared for them I have to say but I have tried my best to revise etc...I've also had a lot going on which has meant I've put revision on the back burner a bit. I'm excited to get them out the way but also a little nervous that they are so soon. Once my exams are over I will be able to focus on my blog and channel a lot more which I'm really looking forward to.

Wishlist | Not On The Highstreet Under £25

Hello everyone in today's blog post I am going to be sharing with you six different thing's that I'd love to purchase from Not On The Highstreet. It's an online store which has a massive variety of all thing's home, garden, art, jewellery, fashion, baby & child, weddings and a whole lot more. I can't quite exactly remember when I first discovered NOTHS but I'm so glad that I have as there are some pretty cool/amazing things on there.

The first thing that I'd like to get is this world map which is kind of like a scratch card. Once you have visited a place you can scratch it off which then reveals colour underneath it. I think that it would be really cool as I love to travel and in my life I would love to visit every place possible. Having this poster would allow me to see where I have visited also where I haven't so I can plan future holidays around it. I also think once it has been fully scratched off it would look pretty epic on your wall.

These necklaces are so pretty as they're subtle but pretty. I'd love a necklace like this as I think I would wear it a lot. I'm not a huge fan of jewellery but I think that this would be a nice edition to my small jewellery collection. I also like the additional letter which is included in the necklace.

Foil 'Classy And Fabulous' Coco Chanel Quote Print £12
Recently I've been loving typography I just think it really makes a room more homely. I would love to purchase either both or one of these and place them upon my shelving unit (If they fit). I also think that typography prints are great motivation for when you're feeling down or having a bad day.

I'm not a big fan of cases for my phone and I only have a few which I rarely use. I am not sure why I don't like them I just prefer my phone without it I guess. However I would purchase this case and I know I would use it too as it's so lovely. The wording is just nice to have on your phone case as you can cheer yourself or someone else up by just looking at it.

If you've been reading my blog for a while now then you will probably know how much I love to travel. I love going on holiday from the word "Go" my favourite part is the airport and flight as I find them so exciting. I think this travel pouch would be so useful to have as now I'm getting older I'm more likely to travel alone. Therefore by having this pouch I can keep all of the important things in one place like my plane tickets, passport and travel information.
