Things I'm Thankful For This Year + Merry Christmas

*HAPPY CHRISTMAS 2015*

If you have read my blog for the past few years or watch my videos then you will know how much I adore Christmas. So in a way I am quite sad that it is almost over however I'm going to be making the most of it. I am well aware that I will be uploading this on the 26th December in the UK however it's still the 25th here in NYC as we are five hours behind.

Today I went on a bus ride around downtown Manhattan we saw Times Square, 5th Avenue, Macy's and the 911 Memorial among many other things. I also have a cold which has meant that I am in the hotel room this evening as I feel pretty rubbish to put it nicely. I have had a lovely day which consisted of a burger and chips for my Christmas dinner which is unusual I know. I'm now sitting in my hotel room with a few snacks typing this up which is pretty special if I must say.

Merry Christmas
I hope that each and everyone of you have had a lovely day whether you have been drinking cocktails on the beach or sitting by the cosy fire at home with friends and family. I'd especially like to thank all of you who have been supporting me whether it's from day one or just right now. I appreciate each and everyone of you and it's crazy to think that there are some people who have been with me through this journey from the start. I know that you guys will be my biggest supporters along this continuing journey whether it may take me.

Family & Friends
This year hasn't been  an easy one in fact it's probably been one of the hardest. However I am so thankful for all of my family and friends who have supported me through this crazy year. Like each year it's been full of it's ups and downs but this year has been a lot more hectic than others. You guys are honestly the best and whether you read my blog or watch my videos I don't quite know but if you do Hey!! Sometimes it's a bit awkward talking about my blog and channel with family and friends I'm not quite sure why but I find it so much easier to talk to strangers about it.

Me
I wanted to include a paragraph about me to me so that in a few years time I can look back on it and really remember what I was going through that year. So here goes you should be incredibly proud of yourself this year as it was an extremely tough year. You have overcome so many things this year despite the circumstances you have been put in.

Thing's like going for an interview with a very successful company, leaving sixth form, continuing with your driving lessons among many more things. You are always stronger than you think and you have a kind heart although most of the time you do wear it on your sleeve. Never regret anything you have said or done as it meant something at the time.

I thought that I wouldn't include any photos in this blog post as I wanted you guys to really take in the words that I have written I shall be uploading many blog posts over the next few days in relation to my holiday so keep an idea out for those. Once I have uploaded  all of them my usual schedule will resume however I may be making changes to that for 2016 but I shall keep you posted.

Wishlist | Bath and Bodyworks

Hello everyone in today's blog post I'm going to be sharing with you some of the Bath and Bodyworks candles that I would love to get my hands on. As you will know if you live in the UK like myself we can't access these candles as the shop does not ship to the UK yet. However while I'm in New York I'm hoping to pick some up they would probably have to be either the small or medium size as they would weigh a lot and take up a lot of room otherwise!!

How To Survive Christmas Without Getting Stressed

Hey everyone in today's blog post I thought that I would share with you some of my tips and tricks for staying relaxed over the Christmas period. I know that for many of you reading the whole workload of Christmas is split up and we each have our own roles. Whether this be making sure all of the presents are wrapped or there is enough food in the house for all of the family, friends and guests you will be having over.

Take time out for yourself
This one is the most important in my opinion having some time to yourself even if it's just five minutes will help you to reduce your stress levels. You can do this by taking a relaxing bath after a long day of Christmas preparations, reading a chapter of a book or listening to some music. I always like to take myself away from whatever is happening to relax for a moment. Often this is going up to my room where I can be by myself and clear my mind.

Ask for help
It's okay to ask for help even if it's something small like asking someone to carry something. If it takes the pressure of of you then why not ask even if you are the type of person who likes to do everything themselves sometimes a little help is needed. I know asking for help sometimes can make a person seem week but if it will mean you are less stressed why wouldn't you ask? I know I would obviously don't ask them to do everything you would because that's not the same. Having someone help you here and there can make a huge difference.

Prepare ahead of time
When it comes to Christmas time whether it's to do with presents, food or party planning I always like to plan way ahead of time. For example, I have brought all of my Christmas presents for my dad's side of the family as I know I'm going away soon. This means that I won't be stressing out at the last moment to buy all of the presents. I'd say prepare from now even if it's just making a list of the things you need to get therefore at least it's eliminating a bit of stress. I love making lists in general but especially at this time of year I find that they're most useful and help me to get things done.

Enjoy Christmas
Something we often forget to do is actually enjoy Christmas I know from observing people in my family who do a lot around this time of year and then forget to enjoy it themselves. We can help those around us by helping them the night before for instance so that on Christmas day itself they can enjoy it as much as possible too. Christmas is a time for making memories as well as having fun so how can you do that if you are running around like a headless chicken?

Light some candles and drink some tea
This may seem a really easy way to reduce stress but it's one of the ones that I do the most. I love lighting a candle and sitting down with a cup of tea whether it's to read a book, watch a TV show or film I find this so relaxing. You don't need to buy expensive tea or candles you can pick up amazing ones at H&M for example. As for tea I usually just have English breakfast tea with milk or Earl Grey with milk. These teas can easily be picked up at any local grocery store however the brand that you pick is up to you.

How To Be Less Anxious This Christmas

Hey everyone as you guys will already know if you have been reading my blog over a long period of time I suffer with Anxiety. To be more specific I also get panic attacks which aren't fun these mostly happen on public transport. However I can get them elsewhere. So for today's blog post I though I'd share with you my tips and tricks for keeping your anxiety level at a low 1-4 this Christmas instead of being a high 8-10.

Don't do something you don't want to
I can't stress this enough many times I have done something I wish I hadn't because I was feeling super anxious that day. Over the months I've taught myself to cancel things I don't want to do because my anxiety is high that day. There's nothing worse than turning up at an event or something when you're feeling at your worst. I have also learnt that my friends and family always understand when I cancel things because of my anxiety. The one thing they say to me is "nothing's more important than your health" and lets be realistic here anxiety is a healthy issue it's a mental health problem.

Ask questions
Before I have to do something like take a big test or go to a party for example I always ask loads of questions. I always find this helps to put my mind at ease as I'm then going into a situation I know more about instead of being thrown in at the deep end. For me when I can visualize things such as what the venue will look like or whether I'm going to be confined to a small space I feel more relaxed immediately.

Some examples of questions that I usually ask are:
Who will be there? Do I know anyone going?
How big or small is the venue?
Is it a dark place?
Is there going to be lots of people?

Carry your safe things with you

When I mean safe things I mean things that I carry around with me to make me feel less anxious. For example, whenever I take public transport such as the train or bus I always have cold water, chewing gum, my earphones and a book with me. These things make me feel safer as I know that they are there if I need them. So my point being carry something around with you that makes you feel safe. Even if it's a packet of gum in your dress pocket or an app that you download especially for anxiety.

People watch
One thing I like to do when I'm anxious is watch what is going on. I don't speak I just observe which I find rather relaxing. People watching is one of the things I love to do I mean I just find it so interesting to see how people interact with other people. I can't quite tell you why it calms me down but it just does watching and not saying anything reserves your energy in a way.

Have someone with you that you trust
Whenever I'm going to a new place or meeting new people the majority of the time I'd ask someone who I'm close with me to join me. This is because not only is it more fun to have people you have a good time with around you but it's also more relaxing for you. If I have my mum or close friends with me then I know that if I do have a panic attack they will be there to help me. For example, if I'm travelling to a new place with my mum she knows to leave with plenty of time in case we have to stop because I'm feeling panicky.

Have an exit plan
This is our last resort and should only be used when your anxiety is a 10/10. I always like to have an exit plan as none of us know when our anxiety will go from a 3 to 10. It could all happen in the space of five minutes if the train gets super busy for example or the room gets super hot. So I always like to have a plan in case my anxiety rises to a 10. Whether this is the number of the local taxi service, a friend who is free to come and pick me up or even something simple such as a place I can go and relax if I do have a panic attack like a quiet room within the venue for example.

My 5 Go-to Beauty Products At The Moment

Hello everyone happy Monday I can't believe that in around a weeks time I shall be getting ready to head off to the big apple!! I am super excited almost to the point where I can't contain my excitement. Last week was a bit rubbish in terms of blogging I managed to get some videos up but I didn't find any time to sit down and write any blog posts. I've also been preparing many to go up whilst I'm away so I have been focusing on them a lot more.

In today's blog post I decided to share with you guys 5 beauty related things I have been loving recently. Every one of these are of a reasonable price and can be picked up in either Superdrug or Boots. I've been using many of these products for over a month if not a year as they are just products that I keep on going back to.

I have probably used this moisturiser for around a few years now and it really agrees with my skin. Which is why I use it over and over again I have decided to try a new one in the New Year however for the moment this is just perfect. I love it because it doesn't cause my skin to break out and it drys quickly. The only bad thing I would say about it is that the one which contains SPF takes slightly longer to dry and it has often gotten into my eyes which isn't fun at all!! I definitely recommend it for anyone who is just getting into skincare as Simple are a great beginners brand. Their products are so reasonable and they have a wide range of moisturisers, toners, face washes etc..

Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Wash and Mask
The second product I've been loving recently is this Neutrogena 2in1 wash and mask. As I have said in previous videos this wash and mask is great especially when you are having a pamper evening. I feel like it really works as it stings a bit whether or not it's actually doing anything I think that it is. As it says on the packing you can either use this as a wash or mask I mainly use it as a mask as I prefer it however I have used it as a wash. It works well both ways however I will say that it is a bright white mask so you do look a bit scary aha.

OGX Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil
I tend to use this in phases sometimes I'll use it all the time and never put it down whereas other times I won't use it for months. I love using it when my hair feels a bit dryer than normal. It's so easy to use all you have to do is rub a bit in your hands and apply onto towel dried hair. After that I normally let it either dry naturally or I blow dry it depending on the weather outside. The smell is one of my favourites as I am so in love with the scent of Moroccan Argan Oil. It reminds me of being on holiday this bottle will also last me ages as you only have to put a little bit on your hand other wise your hair will get greasy.

Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Cleansing Water
This one is almost gone so I picked another micellar water up but from a different brand as I wanted to try something new. However I love this one just as equally I have been using it for around two or three months now. I remember a lot of bloggers or YouTubers talking about the micellar water from Garnier however I haven't gotten around to trying that one just yet. I have found that this one is really gentile on your skin and doesn't irritate it as the formula isn't strong. I just simply place some on a cotton pad and then swipe it around my face until it's clean then I continue with my skincare routine.

The last product that I'm going to be sharing with you may seem like a weird one but I'm going to do it anyways. Deodorant is something we often over look but I think it's actually quite important. I particularly love this one as it isn't visible under most clothes which is what you don't want to happen. Imagine going out wearing a top that you can see white marks on how embarrassing would that be!! I usually stock up on these when they are on offer as it can be quite expensive compared to other brands.
