Hidden Gems On Asia Jade (March)

Hey hey how has your Saturday been? In today's blog post I'm going to be sharing with you some of my old blog posts here on Asia Jade. In tomorrow's blog post I will be catching up with you on what has been going on these past few weeks.

This new series will be uploaded once a month and it allows me to share with you some of my old favourite blog posts from the past. I thought that it would give you the chance for me to show you some hidden gems on my blog.

Review | Simple Rich Moisturiser
This was among one of the first ever reviews that I wrote up so I admit it's not the best. However I still use this product three years later so it must be good. I've always loved the brand Simple as none of their products have caused me to break out and they are super gentle on my skin.

The second blog post I'm going to be sharing with you is actually Christmas related however you can still read it at any time of the year. As you will know I am a huge fan of Christmas it is one of my favourite times of the year I love getting in the spirit of things and spending time with the family.

The last blog post is actually the first ever one I wrote for the series "The Sunday Topic". If you have been reading my blog for a long time then you will understand what this series is. I used to post a new blog post each Sunday for the series which would talk about all different things in life the good and the bad.

A Primark Playsuit You NEED

Hey there in today's blog post I thought that I would share with you a clothing item that I think every girl should have in their wardrobe. If some of you have seen my latest video which is a Primark haul then you will know already what I'm going to be talking about.

This playsuit was only £13 which is such a reasonable price considering it has a necklace with it as well. The material is really comfy and I know that I will be wearing it a lot throughout Spring & Summer. I think that it would go great with some Chelsea boots and a leather jacket.

I remember that the playsuit was also available in other colours although I can't quite remember which ones they were. I wish that I had picked another one up because knowing Primark it won't be there the next time I visit. I love how this playsuit looks like it could be from New Look or H&M the quality of it is amazing.

I'm definitely going to be popping into Primark more frequently in the upcoming months before Summer as they always have amazing clothing items. If you're near a Primark then I'd suggest you pop in and see if they have this in stock because it's going to be a staple for me this Spring/Summer.

Have you bought anything from Primark recently?

Something To Cherish

Hey everyone happy Friday as some of you may know if you follow me on Twitter over the past two weeks I have been attending a course. This course is another step towards me hopefully getting an apprenticeship in digital marketing. When deciding to sign up for the course I was choosing to put myself out there as it was something I had never done before.

The course itself was full on for two weeks I was there from 9am-5pm every day Monday-Friday. We did various things such as team building exercises, speed interviews, dragons den and CV work. This was just the base of the whole thing because the people who I spent it with made it one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had.

There were around forty of us which makes us quite a big group. However I made sure that I spent time with everyone as I'm a person who likes to go from group to group and have a good old chat. Although there were different groups as you would get in any situation as a whole we were so close. The support that we gave to one and another was something I had never experienced to that extent before.

Each and every single person in the group is extremely talented and I feel so honored to have gotten to know them all on a personal level. I have learnt so much more about myself by listening to their stories and by seeing the things that they have created. Each night I have had so many things to tell my mum who has also said how incredible it has been for me.

I wanted to type something up so that I can remember how I am feeling at this exact moment in time. As well as that it allows the people who I shared the experience with a chance to remember what it was like also. I know for a fact that each and everyone of them will achieve many wonderful things in their lives as they are all extremely humble, creative and unique.

A little note about the people who hosted the course and taught us every single person really cared about us. You could see this in the way that they valued us as a group as well as an individual. Our teachers were some of the most inspirational people I have ever met and I will never forget some of the things they said to us.

On a more personal note I am extremely proud of myself as I have managed to battle the tube at rush hour for the past two weeks without having a panic attack. Although there was one moment when I thought that I was going to have one. The way I felt before and after each day really helped as I loved going. Usually when I am in a positive/happy mood I am less likely to have a panic attack.

I'm going to be ending on a bittersweet note as the course has now finished so I won't be seeing everyone everyday anymore which is really sad. I feel like a huge part of me will be missing as I have become so used to having an extra forty family members for the past few weeks. However I am positive that everyone will get the job that they are looking for and if not they will be offered something better.

I'm really busy over the next few days or so but I am going to try and get up some blog posts and definitely a video on Sunday so keep and eye out for that. For now have a lovely weekend and I will catch up with you soon!

How To Keep A Small Wardrobe Tidy

Hey guys happy Sunday sorry I haven't been very consistent this past week on my blog. I have actually been on a course for the past week in the hops of getting an apprenticeship out of it. I am on it again next week also so I'm unsure how many blog post I will manage to get up.

In today's blog post I'm going to be sharing with you some of my tips and tricks for keeping a small wardrobe organised and tidy. I have a very small wardrobe for the amount of clothes that I have. I definitely need twice the amount of space I have to fit all my clothes!!

Store clothes by season
As my wardrobe is so small I only hang up clothes that are useful for the season. All of my other clothes such as Summer ones I will keep in boxes so that they are tided away. As you can see I have many boxes which have been split up into further categories such as shorts, dresses, shoes etc...

Have a big tidy up once a week
Every week I am super busy so I usually chuck all of my clothes into my wardrobe so that the rest of room is tidy. On the weekend (Usually Sunday's) I will take everything out and neatly place it back as well as hanging up clothes that need hanging.

Be Smart
By this I mean make the best of what you have. If you have more hanging space and less folding space then hang more things up. For example, if I only have space for underwear, tops, pjs and jeans to fold up. Then I will hang up skirts, dresses, coats, jumpers etc...Whereas if I have more folding space and less hanging space I will fold everything except those that cannot be folded such as formal dresses.

Hang more than one thing up
This is something I only started doing a few years ago but I usually hang more than one piece of clothing onto one hanging. For example if you have a dress and blazer then use one hanger instead of two. It makes space for more clothes and you end up using less hangers.

Do you have a big or small wardrobe??

Wishlist | Pretty Little Thing 2

Hey guys happy hump day!! In today's blog post I'm going to be sharing with you more clothes that I would love to purchase from Pretty Little Thing. This is actually the second wishlist that I have created from this shop if you haven't seen my previous one then you can here.

Since creating my first wishlist for PLT I have managed to purchase a few of their merchandise which I am very happy with. This has encouraged me to purchase more from them as their service was quick and professional as well as the clothing & shoes being a high quality.

Which is your favourite item from this wishlist?

How To Balance Work & Blogging 2016 (Updated)

I can't believe it's been two years since I first wrote this blog post I actually though I had only written it last year turns out I actually wrote it the year before. In today's blog post I'm going to be sharing with you an updated version of "Blogging whilst working". I have been at my current job for a year and eight months now which is amazing considering it's my first real job.

As I am currently looking for a full time job in relation to social media, digital marketing or media in general. I know that once again I am going to have to change my dynamics when it comes to blogging and uploading videos. When I mean dynamics I mean the days that I choose to sit down and write blog posts or film a video.

Something that I wrote two years ago I still stick by on a daily basis and this is "Remember blogging is for YOU and not your viewers it's a way to express your thoughts & feelings kind of like an online diary". I still stick by this as I have felt that over the time that I have blogged it has become a lot more competitive. Unfortunately nowadays some bloggers/youtubers are just in it for the free gifts, subscriber count or events they could get invited to.

Plan In Advance
This is something I have just started doing I have no idea why I haven't done it before because it's really helpful. At the beginning of each week/month I will sit down and plan out the videos/blog posts that I will be uploading during that time period. I love to use a colour code so that I know what stage I am at with each thing. For example red would mean I haven't even started it, orange would be it's half complete and green would be it's been published or scheduled to go live.

Schedule blog posts/videos
This brings me onto my next point if you don't already know most blogging platforms such as Blogger, Square Space and Wordpress have the ability to schedule blog posts. For example, if you wanted to upload a blog post for next Saturday because you won't be able to access a computer this feature would come in really handy. YouTube also has this feature although you have to reach a certain point in your channel's life for it to be activated.

P.S. this is a great thing to do when you are on holiday because it means you can upload something even when you can't access the internet!!

This is something I have learnt over time in my opinion there is no point in stressing over a blog post that didn't go up or a video that was supposed to go up at 5pm but went up at 8pm instead. Your readers/viewers honestly won't mind because they are there to read your blog posts and watch your videos. They 100% understand if you are super busy one day and cannot upload something. Being relaxed about my blog/channel is something I am glad about.

I remember a time when I was always worried about what people would think if I missed a day of blogging. Now I know that they don't really care because they know that for me it's a hobby and and not a job. Therefore I have so many other things going on in my life that sometimes life does get in the way first.

Be Patient
Just because you are busy at the moment doesn't always mean you will be this busy. So be patient. Running a blog or channel is very flexible in a way as you can easily change the days you upload a video or blog post to fit around what's easiest for you. Sometimes I know that at this particular time I will be super busy so I try to plan easy things to put up. Whereas when I'm less busy I try and pre-write/film things so that I have some backed up.

Dinerama, Shoreditch London

Hey guys happy FRIYAY in today's blog post I'm going to be talking about food which is something everyone loves. Last night I went to Dinerama in Shoreditch which is a street food festival. It runs every Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 5pm on wards however entry is free before 7pm after that it's a £3 entry fee.

The closest stations are Old Street (Northern Line) or Liverpool Street (Central Line) I went to Old Street and walked to the location which is only about a 10 minute walk away. Dinerama is part of the Street Food company who also have Hawker House, Dalston Yard & Model Market. These are all other locations where they host street food festivals so if Shoreditch is far away from you maybe one of the others is closer.

The top photo is Calamari which was delicious I haven't had any in a while so it reminded me of how much I actually love the food. You will probably read a lot in this blog post about how amazing the food was and it's not me exaggerating it's the truth I promise!! The second photo is the pulled pork bun with coleslaw I got which was so tender. They also did another bun with brisket which was so tasty as my friend got it and luckily she let me try it.

We then got some sweet potato fries which definitely lived up to the expectation along with some bbq chicken wings. For dessert I had some mini doughnuts with honeycomb ice cream. Each food is carefully made and they all have a twist too them. I've always wanted too go to a food festival and this is probably my first time going to one. I enjoyed it so much as I ate and drank loads as well as spending time with my close friends who also had a great time.

The venue itself was brilliant as it's all undercover so you won't have any problems if it rains. The entry is free before 7pm after that you are charged a £3 entry fee which is pretty reasonable. The prices of the food aren't bad considering the quality and popularity of the place. I was expecting them to cost quite a lot as I was comparing it to the Winter Wonderland prices. However I was quite surprised as I only spent around £20 which was a lot less than I was anticipating to spend.

At Dinerama itself there were eleven different food stalls as well as five drinks stalls to choose from. They are all in the same space which makes it very convenient as you don't have to walk far to get your food or drink. There is plenty of seating although these can go quite quickly so I recommend keeping a bag or coat on your chair while you go back up to get some more food. The staff are all really friendly and the place is really clean as the staff are constantly throwing away finished cups, plates etc...

I highly recommend going as it's a great night out and they are open until the early hours. It would be a perfect place to go after work with some work mates or a catch up with an old friend. The atmosphere is amazing as they play music in the background as well. It's definitely something I will remember for  a long time and hopefully I can go and experience the other three street food markets.

Have you ever been to a street food festival?

Wishlist | Mothers Day (Not On The High Street)

Hey everyone as you may have seen I haven't posted a blog post recently mainly because I've been super busy but also because I lost motivation. In all honesty I didn't quite know what too post it's almost as if my creativity had been sucked out of me.

Anyways I am back and in today's blog post I'm going to be sharing with you some things you could pick up for Mothers Day which is on Sunday. These are all from a website called "Not On The High Street" I have purchased many things from here and I always find unique things that I would never find in my local shops (Hence the name).
