I'm Doing Blogtober 2016!

Hey guys so I've decided to do Blogtober this year. This means that there will be a new blog post every day for the whole month of October. I'm so excited to do this as I have never done this on my blog. I have tried uploading a video on my channel every other day for a month which was hard so this will be a big challenge for me.

I have so many ideas for this and I cannot wait to see what you guys think of it. As I'm sitting here typing this out tons of topics that I could write about are running through my mind. I'm also watching Wild Child which is a great movie I loved it when I was growing up and I haven't watched it in ages.

What you can expect to see from the next month on my blog. Plenty of reviews, wishlists and Autumn/Fall related blog posts as well as a hint of Christmas. I'm also thinking about doing Vlogmas but the only problem is I work Monday-Friday so I'm not sure how exciting it would be.

Wishlist | Missguided A/W 2016

Hey guys I thought that I would do a A/W fashion wishlist as I did a beauty wishlist for Autumn/Winter 2016 already. I'm so much more in to fashion at the moment rather than beauty or lifestyle products. I just want to buy new clothes all the time it's not very good for my bank balance haha.

Video | Lush HALLOWEEN Haul 2016

Today's blog post is about my latest video is a Lush Halloween Haul. I bloody love Lush and their seasonal products are my favorite as they really make an effort. I can't wait to use some of these and write reviews on them. Next up is their Christmas products which I hope to do a video or blog post on as well. If you liked this video please give it a THUMBS UP and make sure to SUBSCRIBE.

Review | Farm Girl Cafe Portobello, Notting Hill Gate London

This morning I went for breakfast with one of my best friends. We had decided to go to the Farm Girl Cafe in Portobello, Notting Hill Gate which is in West London. It's one of those cafe's you see all over Instagram I can't quite remember how we stumbled upon it but the food looked so good so it was put on our restaurant list.

Another one of our friends was supposed to come with us as we all normally meet up every other month for a meal to catch up. As my friends both go to university and I work full time we don't get much time to see each other anymore. We normally plan to meet up once every other month and go to a nice restaurant where we eat loads and catch up on everything.

Farm Girl Cafe is a "holistic and healthy" cafe that has become rather popular as we had to que up to get a table. Luckily as there was only two of us there was a table free which meant that we didn't have to wait that long. You probably wouldn't even notice that the cafe was there as it's tucked away. It has a courtyard where there are a few tables and then an inside where there is a seating area, kitchen & toilets.

My friend and I both got this sense of excitement when we were shown our table. I'm not sure whether it was because we were in a place that was seen as hipster and cool or because we were hungry and needed food. The food looked amazing on Instagram photos but did it taste as good as it looked??

To start with we ordered drinks I opted for a very average English breakfast tea whilst my friend chose a rose latte. I was very impressed with the big mug as you guys know I prefer a big cup of tea to an average sized one. The presentation of the rose latte was incredible and something I wish that I could do.

For food we ordered a main dish each and then shared one. I got the toast which was "brown sourdough with almond butter & strawberry jam". Whereas my friend got the Avocado Toast with "lemon juice, fresh coriander & a side of strawberries and a poached egg". We then shared the Berry Pancakes which was made of "benoit’s homemade buckwheat mix, with amber maple syrup fresh berries & coconut shavings".

Lets talk about the toast first it was so light and fluffy. Sourdough is one of my favourite breads although I never have it at home. It's a luxury bread in my opinion and one day I would love to learn how to make it myself. I'm not a fan of any nutty butter especially peanut butter so I wasn't sure I would like almond butter. However I loved it as it was sweet but not too much and the strawberry jam was delicious. You can never go wrong with jam on toast.

The second thing I ate was the pancakes which looked amazing and tasted just as good as they looked. If anyone wanted to make healthy pancakes then these would be the ones to make. They were so light and fluffy and you didn't feel bad when you ate them as they felt healthy rather than bad.

The coconut shavings were a yummy touch although after a while they were quite sickly. Both of us loved the blueberries as they are so good for you. The amount of maple syrup was just enough as the blueberries and coconut added to the sweetness of the dish.

All of the dishes we got had amazing presentation and the crockery used was to die for. I can just see myself filling up my kitchen with pieces like they had. Although the portions weren't massive we both went away feeling stuffed and had ordered just the right amount of food.

Overall I would recommend going to the Farm Girl Cafe as we had a lot of fun. It was something different and it's nice coming away from a restaurant feeling like you ate something healthy. The prices of the dishes were pretty reasonable considering how popular it was. The interior decor was lovely as it almost felt like you were in someone's kitchen.

We are going to try and go back with our other friend as we know she would have liked it as well. Next time I'd like to try the avocado on toast with a poached egg as it looked really yummy. The acai bowls looked delicious as well and I'd be up for trying one as I have never had one before.

Have you been to the Farm Girl Cafe? What Did You Think?

Zoella Lifestyle | First Impressions

Hey everyone as you will probably know Zoe released her lifestyle range on Monday both in Boots and Superdrug. I was there ready to go at 8am but it wasn't released until much later which was slightly annoying. However I knew that I didn't want to spend loads but I definitely wanted to get something. So I picked three products that I wanted I chose the Lazy Days gift set, the stationary set and the journal.

I was so excited to see that Zoe had branched out in to lifestyle products and sort of knew it was coming as she's always had a love for stationary. There's something for everyone here which I think Zoe always takes in to consideration seeing as her audience ranges so widely.

I have to admit the prices of the products did throw me slightly  as even though I work and they were fine for me. A lot of Zoe's audience are younger and would probably have to save up to buy something. But at the moment Boots are offering a 3 for 2 offer on Zoe's products which makes things a bit cheaper.

Out of all of the gift sets I was drawn to this one the most I guess it's because I do love having lazy days at home. As I work a 9-6 job Monday-Friday I cherish the days I have off and usually spend them at home. So in this set as you can see from the images above you get a pair of socks and a candle. The packaging is gorgeous and I love how Zoe's legs are actually used in the photo.

The socks are really comfy and I can tell I'll be wearing them a lot during these next few months. However I did think that the candle would be a bit bigger as the other candles do sell for £10. I would not normally buy a candle that size for £10 when I can get one twice the size from Primark from £3.50. This set would be a perfect Christmas gift or birthday gift for anyone even if they don't watch Zoe because it's two things people like candles & socks.

Zoella She Designed A Life She Loved Stationery Set £10
The second thing that I picked up was this stationary set. I'm a sucker for stationary and this was just too pretty to not get. Inside there is multiple different sections to help you organise yourself. I really like that there is two sections for morning and evening. So that you can really plan your days out. The marble effect really adds to the whole thing.

I did think that it was going to be bigger than it actually is. It looks a lot bigger in photos but it's not that big when you see it. I guess this is a good thing because it makes it easy to travel with. I'm planning on using this for all things blog/YouTube related as I have another planner for day to day things. Hopefully this will enable me to write lots of blog posts and film videos in advance.

The last thing I got was the journal which I want to use as a diary. I already wrote about my day yesterday and I want to try and write in it each evening. Just things that have happened throughout the day and my thoughts. I love how big it is as you can fit so much on to one page. The cute quotes throughout the journal make it even more of a lovely journal.

I'm not a fan of the material used on the outside as it can get mucky easily. When it arrived there were marks on the side which I managed to get off with a wet wipe. I would have liked it to be more durable. I like the fact that there's just one sentence on the front like it's the start of a journey which it sort of is. The colours complement each other really well and hopefully I can keep this diary up.

Overall thoughts
I really loved the things that I bought and I'm super excited to pick up a few of Zoe's Christmas range. My favourite thing is probably the journal as it is going to hold so many thoughts and memories. The whole lifestyle range is beautiful and I can't wait to see what new products are added to it. I would love to see some bedding, a hat and more storage added to the range. I do think that the prices could be lower especially for the candles as they are quite small for the price you are paying.

Have you bought any of Zoe's Lifestyle products??

Monday Thoughts 19th September 2016

Monday's are usually a funny day for me I can either have a really good day or one I never want to have again. As I'm sitting here in Starbucks drinking my chocolate frappe whilst watching the world go by I can't help but think what if? What if I never started this blog? What if I never started my channel? What if I went to university? What if....

I decided to take a short break from anything blog/YouTube related over the past few days. One being because I needed a break from it as it's so easily to get caught up in it all. However the main reason was because I was going away for the weekend to see my childhood best friend.

It was a weekend full of chatter, laughter, films, reminiscing and relaxation. We went to see the new Bridget Jones movie which was amazing and I cried of course although not because it was sad but because of how far Bridget has come. If you haven't already seen it then I highly recommend it as it's hilarious.

Sometimes you need to take a step back from things to appreciate what you have and what you don't have. I absolutely love writing blog posts and filming videos but sometimes it just gets all too much. Trying to balance everything is almost impossible and I often fail and that's okay. Because balancing things is an art that not many people can perfect.

This morning I treated myself to some of the new Zoella lifestyle products which I will be reviewing on my blog sometime later on this week. I picked up her journal which I want to use as a diary. I have never written a diary before well not that I can remember anyways but I thought it would be amazing to look back on to see how each day went.

I think I may try and write something like this every Monday just to put down what I'm thinking on paper well in this case on the internet. I couldn't find an appropriate quote to put in this post but I will try and find ones that tie in with the thoughts I'm having on that day.

Review | Make Up Revolution - Salvation Velvet Lacquer Velvet Rebel

Hey guys I was super busy last week which is why only one blog post went up. I have decided that for today's blog post I'm going to be reviewing one of Make Up Revolution's lip products. You would have seen this in my latest video where I tested out MUR's make-up. If you haven't seen this video you can check it out here. This one is from their lip lacquer collection and it's in the shade rebel which is a dark berry colour.

Let's start with the packaging it's a very simplistic but eye capturing package. I love the fact that you can see the colour of the actual product. Instead of the packaging displaying a colour which doesn't actually match the products true colour. The fact that it's only £3 says a lot as it is long lasting. It stays on so much that you find it hard to get off I usually have to scrub it off with a whole wet wipe (No joke).

The pigmentation is amazing and I really want to pick up a few more of their autumnal colours. The only issue I've had with it is that it's hard to put on so I have to do it really slowly so that I don't go outside my lips. It also stains easily so be careful when wearing anything white!! I'm going to try and wear it a lot over these next few months as I really want to embrace Autumn/Winter this year. That means bubble baths, candles, dark lips, dark nail polish, big scarfs, ankle boots and check shirts.

For £3 it's definitely worth picking up at least one product from this collection as I think they're a great staple to have in your lip collection. I think Make Up Revolution are a great brand and I'd say they're my second favorite as Rimmel will always be my all time favorite. If you haven't tried any of their products then try at least one as they're reasonable and the quality of them is high for what they're worth.

Autumn Bucket List 2016

As I'm sitting here in a coffee shop in Soho, London I wonder to myself what would it be like if Autumn lasted for ever? Would I love it just as much or be completely sick of it and want to hide away in a dark hole for the rest of my life.
