Paris day 3

Hey guys I'm back with another blog post about my trip to Paris. This time it's all about day three which was our second full day in the wonderful city. As you can probably see from the first image it was quite a foggy morning you couldn't even see the top of the Eiffel Tower.

We first made our way to Montmartre which is a part of the city that is very arty and theatrical. It's also where the Moulin Rouge is and where the film was set. The main reason why we were there was to see the beautiful Sacré-Cœur which is a iconic, domed white church.

The views from the top of the hill where the Sacré-Coeur was were amazing. It's a shame that it was so foggy because you would have been able to see a lot more. We then grabbed some lunch to-go as we were going on a river cruise after.

The river cruise wasn't amazing as I had seen lots of the sites already whilst going around on the coach. However, it was a nice break from walking around and I know that Mum & I both appreciated it from that perspective.

Once we had finished our hour long river tour we then had some free time. Mum and I had wanted to visit this big department store called Galeries Lafayette which is similar to John Lewis. However, this one was so big it had three separate stores for the different departments.

We spent at least two hours in there as it was so amazing. The Christmas decor was to die for I loved it so much. They even had a Disney store inside which made it 10x better. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the Christmas window displays as they were still covered up. We then took a trip to our first Sephora which was so exciting as I had been thinking about visiting one ever since I knew I was going to Paris.

After shopping for several hours we took the train back which was so much fun. I was a little apprehensive to take the train in Paris as I was my first time and I didn't know if it would be safe of not. But my Mum had been on it before and she had assured me that it was fine to take.

It was really easy to work out considering everything was in French. Both Mum and I speak French although not as well as we used to so between us we could work things out. I bought some postcards and art from the Sacré-Cœur as well as two things from the Disney store. Of course I had to buy some of my favourite biscuits as well as some lip products from Sephora.

We grabbed a McDonalds on the way back to the hotel to save some money. I had a big mac and it was so yummy it was just what I needed. We had some time out back at the hotel before we went on a night tour of Paris.

We got to see the Eiffel Tower when it was all lit up as well as sparkling it was so magical. Then we got back to the hotel and had a nice long sleep as the last day was more relaxed so we didn't have to get up as early.

Paris day 2

Hey guys I'm back with my second part to my Paris trip. This is day 2 which was actually our first full day in Paris. We got up early and had breakfast as we had to be on the coach by 9.30am which is very early for my mum.

The breakfast in the hotel was really nice and there was lots of different options to choose from. I chose to have some pancakes and a bowl of fruit and yogurt together. We then sat on the coach for a few hours whilst seeing the sites of Paris. We got off a few times to take a few photos.

I was pretty tired from the night before as I didn't sleep that well so I decided to try and take a nap as I knew I would see it all again the next day when we went exploring ourselves. Once we had driven around Paris for a few hours we then made our way to Versailles which was about a 45 minute drive.

We arrived at Versailles which is where the Palace is and were given a few hours to wonder around. Mum & I decided to visit the building opposite the palace where the carriages were kept as well as the horses. They were so beautiful as each one had a different design. Although they did have life-size models of horses which I didn't like.

The que to go inside the palace was massive so Mum and I just decided to look around the gardens which was free. We had already bought lunch the day before so we had a little picnic which was really nice as the views were amazing. It was quite cold as we were so exposed as there was a lot of open space.

The gift shop was really cute and I got a postcard to add to my collection as well as a lovely small bottle of perfume which was on offer. I would like to see the inside of the palace one day but I wasn't prepared to stand in the massive que in the cold that day.

We then all went back to the hotel and popped to the local supermarket to pick up some essentials. We then went back to the room where we had a nap and got ready to go out again in the evening. That evening we went to a cabaret which I had never been to before. It was a group activity so everyone on the trip went and we had dinner before watching the show.

The food was really nice which is always good. I had never seen a show like it before there was a lot of nudity which I wasn't expecting. It was mainly the women who were nude rather than the men. It did make me feel a bit awkward at times I enjoyed it as some of it was amazing. There was this one Asian lady who was an acrobat and she could do all sorts of moves.

However, overall I'd give it a 5/10 the whole production wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be. The choreography could have been better. Even I could have done it and I can't dance to save my life. I wasn't a fan of how sexual it was at parts. After that we just went back to the hotel and fell asleep as we had to get up early again the next day for a whole day of exploring.

Paris day 1

Hey guys I'm here today with a blog post about my first day in Paris. Like I did with my trip to Luxembourg I uploaded both videos as well as blog posts. I wanted to do both so I could remember as much detail as possible about each trip.

We left for Paris on Saturday the 5th November which is also bonfire night. So this year I didn't get to see any fireworks. We caught the Eurostar train from St.Pancras London. It took a few hours to get from London to Paris. The train journey was quite bumpy and did make me feel a bit sick.

However, what I didn't know was that the Eurostar had free wifi on board which was so handy as you're underground a lot of the time but you can still get signal to work etc. You can't obviously make calls but you can email and watch videos which passes the time.

We then got to Paris and made our way to the coach as it was a coached holiday. We were with a group of about 20 people who would all travel with us. However, we would also have our own free time as well. After driving from the Gare Du Nord to our hotel we saw many sights along the way. It was lovely seeing Paris at night but I was quite tired by this point so I wasn't paying that much attention.

We were staying at the Mercure hotel which was not a bad hotel considering it was in Paris. Paris hotels are like London hotels if you want a good one you have to pay a high price. When we got to the hotel we checked in and then settled into our room.

We were both so tired that we just ate in the hotel. The food was okay not the best but we were so tired we didn't care. We then went upstairs and watched a film before getting an early night. Which ended up being good as we had a very busy day the next day.

Luxembourg 2016 Day 3

Hey guys so today's blog post is my last day in Luxembourg. This day was our going home day as well our last chance to explore the city. We started the day with breakfast in the atrium which was so cool. It was a special thing because they had a brunch going on later on in the day. They don't usually hold breakfast in the atrium it just so happened that they did this weekend.

The food in the hotel was delicious and I always made sure to eat as much as I could so that we only really spent money on dinner. We then went back to the hotel room and packed everything as we still needed to check out. We left our bags in the hotel and then headed on a bus tour of the city.

I'm not usually a fan of bus tours as they're quite boring sometimes but this one had really interesting facts and I didn't mind it at all. It was freezing though as we were sitting on the top deck. We went around the whole of the city and then headed back to our hotel.

We then ate food in the hotel as we weren't sure how good the food was at the airport. We played it safe and I'm glad we did because that burger was yummy. My mum had chicken wings in a hotpot sauce which was so delicious and I kept dipping my chips into the sauce.

After eating we made our way to the airport taking a bus again which was super handy as it stopped right outside our hotel. The whole airport process was super easy as the airport was so small so going through checkout & security took literally 5 minutes. Our flight was delayed which was slightly annoying as I was so tired and ready to go home.

The flight there and back was only an hour which is pretty amazing as it's quite far away from England. The top photo from the plane was of Luxmebourg and the second one is the coast of England. We were super early to land so we circled around for a while which made me feel slightly sick.

Once we had gotten to Gatwick and got our bags we made our way to catch a coach home which was super comfy and cheap. I highly recommend using Easy Bus as it's so reasonable and convenient. It saves you tons of money as for there and back for Mum & I it was around £20. We got home and crashed out as I had work the next day so I just relaxed and made sure I was ready for the next day.

Luxembourg 2016 Day 2

Hey guys I've finally got around to sitting down and writing a blog post. I'm back from travelling for a while so I can focus more on my blog and channel. This week has been pretty busy settling back into work life as well as normal life.

Today's blog post is about my second day in Luxembourg. I know it's well over due as I've been to Paris since I was supposed to upload this. I wanted to still upload it so I can remember what I did also.

So on the second day we went into Luxembourg city center to explore around and take a look at the shops. We walked there from our hotel which took a while but it was a lovely walk. My Mum & I both thought that the shops would be ones we haven't seen before. However they had so many mainstream shops such as Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, H&M etc...

We then walked around the city to see the sights as well as visiting one of the churches which was breathtaking. We visited a Sephora which was like heaven on earth but it didn't have the brand I wanted which was a shame.

As we walked around I made sure to take loads of photos as I wanted to capture more memories as well as film it. Sometimes I'm rubbish at taking photos so I really tried to make an effort this time.

After we sat down and had a drink before taking the bus back. Public transport in a foreign country is something I'm always wary of as it's unfamiliar.  We then headed back to the hotel to have some down time before going out for dinner later.

We then got ready for dinner where we ate at a local hotel. It was actually the Novotel in Luxembourg which we were familiar with as we had stayed at the Novotel in New York. I had a burger which was quite nice and I always find they're a go-to safe option when you're away. I mean who can make a burger wrong? Very little people unless you really can't cook....

We came back to the hotel and claimed Mum's birthday drink. The barman also gave us a cake because it was her birthday which was so rich but yummy. I got ready for bed, watched a few things in bed, tweeted something and then fell fast asleep.

Day 2 was the best day of our holiday as we did so much in a city we had never been to before. We also managed to tackle the local transport which we were both proud of. I really enjoyed exploring the streets of Luxembourg city.
