January Skin, Body & Hair Care 2017

Hey guys happy Friday today's blog post is going to be all about my skin, body and hair care for January 2017. I thought that I would do a blog post showing you what I have been using recently on my hair, face and skin.

As some of you may know if you follow me on my Twitter (@asiajade4) then you may already know that I have been trying to cut down on the amount of products that I already own. I have been wanting to create my own "capsule" body, hair and skincare.

Skin care
So first of all let's talk about skin care. First of all to wash my face I either use the Lancome Gel Eclat or the Simple Kind To Skin Refreshing Facial Wash. I like to alternate which one I use as I somehow think that this is better for my skin. It may not be...Then I will go in with the Bioré cleanser which makes your skin feel so clean afterwards.

Then to moisturise I use the Simple Rich Moisturiser as I have used this for many years and I find that this works best for my skin at the moment. Last of all once or twice a week I will use a face mask I either use the Soap & Glory Deep Pore Detox Mask or the L'Oreal Pure Clay Purity Mask.

Lancome Gel Eclat £23
Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed Super Self-Heating Deep Pore Detox Mask £11.50
L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Purity Mask £5.99 was £7.99
Simple Kind To Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel £3.45
Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser £4.19
Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser £5.24

Body care
When it comes to body care I like to keep it simple. I always use a body wash and at the moment I'm using one of the Nivea ones. They always smell so nice and lather up really well. I'll then sometimes use a scrub on my arms for exfoliation. The one I'm using currently is the Soap and Glory one.

Every other day I like to use my Femfresh intimate wash. It's important to keep your area down below clean but also not over wash it. I do use a body cream as well but I forgot to put it in this particular post.

Femfresh Intimate Hygiene Daily Intimate Wash £2.99
Soap and Glory Scrub of your life £7
NIVEA Cashmere Moments Cream Shower Oil £1.00 was £1.99

Hair care
Last but not least is hair care I have quite long hair now so I like to keep really good care of it. I hardly use heat tools on my hair and I try and let it dry naturally as much as I can. For my shampoo and conditioner I use the OGX Moroccan Argan Oil duo they leave my hair smelling amazing and the packaging is to die for.

To make sure that my hair is extra smooth and soft I then use the Moroccan Oil Extra Penetrating Oil which I put into my wet hair and let it dry naturally.

YouTube - A Fresh Start...Well Sort Of

Hey guys as you know I have been doing YouTube for around 2 years and 8 months now. However, I came to a realisation that I wanted my videos to be a better quality in 2017. I decided to delete many of them as I felt like they weren't as good as they could be.

I felt like this is the right decision as it gives me a fresh start...well sort of. I am still going to be uploading regularly every Sunday at 9am. I want to do more videos that I enjoy filming such as first impressions or vlogs.  I'm going to be spending more time making each video that little bit better.

I've done this once before with my blog where I deleted it and started again and it worked out so well. So I reckon the same will happen with my channel. I have lots of ideas in my little book where I write my video ideas.

Never be afraid to start over if that's what you want. At the end of the day it's your life, it's your blog and it's your YouTube channel. I know many people who have stopped blogging or making videos. It is a hard thing to do and even I struggle at times.

This is why making these changes is important to me because otherwise I will lose motivation for both my blog and channel. I think that 2017 is going to be a good year for both my blog and my channel. I have many exciting things planned for this year which I can't wait to document and share with you all.

Wishlist | Miss Pap

Hey guys happy Wednesday as usual today I'm uploading a wishlist. This time it's a Miss Pap one. I always follow loads of women on Instagram who wear things from Miss Pap which is an online clothing store. I think out of all of these things I would really love to get the jeans with the lace detail up the side.

Kiko Milano Baked Blush Holiday Edition

Hey so last Saturday I popped to my local shops to run some errands. I needed to go to the bank, the post office and to various shops. I popped into Kiko as they were having a sale and I had needed to get a few things from there for someone's birthday.

They had a sale going on which was a lot of their holiday collection. I picked up this baked blusher which is absolutely gorgeous. The photos don't do it enough justice. I love how the packaging is so bold yet simple as well. It was on sale for only £9 reduced from £18 so you should definitely pick it up if you have one of their shops near you.

You definitely don't need to put loads of this on your cheeks as it's so pigmented. I reckon in this case less is more. I can't wait to use this I would probably use this more on special occasions as it gives you that extra glow. I have owned products from Kiko before and as a whole their brand is pretty good. They are reasonably priced and I would say that they are between a high-street and a high-end brand.

Cay Tre, London & The Lion King

Hey guys sorry I haven't uploaded a blog post in a few days I've been really busy this week. Today's blog post is a really fun one a few months back before Christmas I was wondering what present to get for one particular friend. This particular friend of mine always goes above and beyond when it comes to presents. So I thought that I would treat her to something really special.

First of all we went out to eat we had decided beforehand to go to a Vietnamese restaurant in Soho, London called Cay Tre. I have had Vietnamese before but only the Summer rolls which are amazing by the way. So first of all we shared a starter platter which had a mixture of wraps and rolls.

They were delicious and we were given just the right amount each. For my main meal I had Gà xào sả ớt which is lemongrass chicken and coconut milk. I had this with rice which I love so much more than noodles. It was very spicy which I was not a fan of but I tried to eat as much as I could. My friend got a mushroom Pho which is like a broth with noodles, vedgetables and lots of mushrooms.

Of course we had to have dessert. I opted for the chocolate melt in the middle pudding with vanilla ice cream. My friend went for the matcha and another ice cream that I can't remember. At the beginning of dinner I handed my friend her belated Christmas card which had tickets inside to The Lion King. Luckily she had never seen it so she was very excited.

Once we had finished dinner we walked over to the theater where The Lion King was being shown. After having shown our tickets and our bags we headed to the shop to get some snacks. We got popcorn, chocolate and wine-gums as well as two programmes.

We had amazing seats as we were sat in the second row of the stalls which is the ground floor. The whole show was AMAZING. I have seen it before when I was younger but that was when I was like 6. As soon as the show started I wanted to cry because it was that amazing. If you have seen it then you will know what I mean.

The cast were so talented my favourite was baby Nala.  I highly recommend it if you are planning on seeing it. The seats we had were so good as we could see a lot of it. There were some bits we couldn't see as the stage is higher up than we are. But this didn't effect our experience it was still amazing.

If you haven't seen it I highly recommend going you can get really good tickets for good prices if you pick the right time. I will remember it for ages and I'm sure I will go again in the future with my kids.

Best Of 2016 (Bloggers, YouTubers, Music, Film & TV)

I wanted to share with you my favourite bloggers, YouTubers, music, films and TV shows in 2016. I'm only going to share my top favourites as this blog post would be again super long and would take a year to read haha.

Bloggers
Emtalks
I can't quite remember how I stumbled upon Emily's blog but I'm so glad that I did. Emily writes about a number of different things and I have to admit I don't read every single blog post that she uploads. However, I love her beauty, fitness, travel, food and lifestyle blog posts the most. Emily also has a YouTube channel which I dip in an out of my favourite videos of hers are the travel videos.

Couture-girl
I have been following Kayleigh's Instagram for a while now. I discovered her blog through her Instagram which is amazing. I always get so much fashion inspiration from it. Her blog covers beauty, fashion and lifestyle which are the same topics that I post about on mine. However, Kayleigh has been blogging for a long time and I really look up to her blog. I just enjoy sitting down and reading new and old blog posts.

Beth Norton
I have to admit the main reason that I love Beth's blog is because of her photography. Beth always seems to have the right balance between the amount of photos and text that she has in each blog post. Her instagram is also amazing and I hope that mine will be that good one day. Beth is always somewhere wonderful in the world which is why I love her travel blog posts the most above the other topics she writes about.

Poppy Deyes
If you have a love for Zoella or Alfie Deyes then you would have probably seen Alfie's sister Poppy's blog. It is one of my favourites and Poppy only started blogging towards the end of 2015. I always think that Poppy either thinks outside the box or keeps it original either way I like it. Poppy's blog posts are always aesthetically pleasing and makes me want to buy a new expensive camera straight away.

Maria.J
Maria is actually someone who I talk to on Twitter quite a lot. I can't remember how we got talking but I'm glad that we did. Maria only started blogging last January but her blog as come so far. You can really see how much time and effort she spends on it. Maria also likes to help others by providing very useful blogging tips blog posts. Maria has recently just started her YouTube channel so go and support her.

Hannah Maggs
I already watch Hannah's family vlogs which she films with her husband and son. However, her blog is A-mazing. Not an understatement from the design to the content I'd be so happy if my blog was a fraction of what Hannah's is. As Hannah is a mum she talks about what it's really like being a mum. I like how her blog posts aren't always happy and uplifting. Hannah talks about the struggles of life as well as things she loves such as beauty and fashion.

Let's Talk About My Weird Eating Problem

Ever since I was a child I have always had a big appetite. Sometimes it goes up down depending on whether I'm sick, on my period or trying to eat better. I have never been afraid to talk about things on my blog and if you are a long term reader then you will know that I have spoken openly about my anxiety & being adopted.

However, writing this blog post scares me a little. I feel like this is something I would get judged on more. Eating is one of the most natural things in the world yet I struggle with it a lot. I know a lot of people have it worse off which makes talking about this subject in the right way important to me.

I do not suffer with any eating disorders and I would not consider mine one. I would however consider it a big problem as it effects me a lot sometimes.  I find it hard to describe as I'm not quite sure what it is anyways. So let's start with the basic description.

I don't like eating in front of new people. It doesn't matter what age or gender you are if you are new to me the chances of me eating in front of you are 0. I'd rather go hungry than spend ages eating because each mouthful I take I become very self-conscious that you are watching me.

Even when I'm getting to know someone I won't eat anything "messy" i.e pasta, soup or ribs. When I do eat "messy" foods around people I'm comfortable with I'm constantly wiping my mouth to make sure I don't have anything around it. Those are just two of the issues that I face the main one is when it comes to restaurants.

Any fast-food restaurants like McDonalds etc I can eat quite comfortably in. When it comes to restaurants that you sit down to have a full-on meal at that's where I sometimes struggle. It happens every so often and it all comes down to how my day went, how anxious I am and what the restaurant is like.

If my day was fine then the chances of me having a "eating attack" are quite low. However, if my anxiety is high that day then I could have one. What the restaurant is like plays a huge part in this. If the restaurant is light and airy and you're not sat on the lap of the person next to you (not literally) then I'll feel a lot more comfortable. But if the restaurant is small, compact and dark that's when I start to feel not myself.

When I'm eating I start to sometimes become very self-conscious of the way that I eat. I tend to look around to see if people are watching me. This doesn't help at all as it only increases my food anxiety. I've never actually been sick but sometimes I feel like I am going to.

I usually eat my food really slowly and often don't eat it all. Most of the time when I'm having these "food attacks" I have to go either outside in the fresh air or to the bathroom just to calm down. When I have had one of these "food attacks" when I have finished my food or eaten what I can I find it uncomfortable waiting for whoever I'm with to finish. So I often wait outside or go home if I'm eating locally.

Most of my family and friends know about this and I hardly have "food attacks" with them but when I do they know I just have to do what I need to do. I'm 100% this is related to my anxiety although I'm not sure how I developed it in the first place. I can't remember a significant memory in my childhood where food was a big issue.

I'm hoping to work on this in 2017 as I can't still suffer with this when I'm 30 that will be ridiculous. I may see a therapist again as I did before but as it was mainly for my anxiety attacks we didn't touch upon my food issues that much.

I will keep you updated and if any of you suffer with this please let me know as I don't know anyone who does. Hopefully if you do suffer with this and haven't realised it then this blog post will help you out.

Goodbye 2016 Hello 2017

So it seems to be a tradition that over the past two years I would upload a post on the 1st January titled Goodbye "the old year" Hello "the new year". I don't plan on stopping this as I have enjoyed putting this particular blog post together each year.

I am currently sitting in bed with a big cup of tea, some Kettle chips and catching up on YouTube videos. On the 23rd December I had over 300 videos to catch up on now I only have 207 which isn't bad. I only have a few more days off before I go back to work so I'm trying to watch as many as I can. Most of them are Vlogmas videos which is why I have so many to catch up on.

2016 has been a good year for me as 2015 was a really hard one. I have spent a lot of the year working on myself. Sometimes when you work on yourself you can benefit others even more. I have done so many amazing things this year.

Just a few things from this year:
- I went to my first ever YouTube event which was in Manchester by myself
- I started an apprenticeship in digital marketing
- I have worked hard on my anxiety
- I turned twenty no more "teen" in my age
- I have learnt to budget more with money (I'm still working on that)
- I went glamping again

I'm going to be including my favourite blog post from the past year for each month so that you can go and have a look at them if you would like to. As well as this I will be including some goals that I would like to achieve in 2017.

2016 Goals Review:
- Have over 100,000 views on both my blog & channel (I'm 8,539 views away on my blog & 36,618 away on my channel)
- Reach 5k subscribers (I currently have 2,306 which is still amazing!)
- Remember to update my facebook page (This happens every so often haha)
- Meet up with more bloggers/youtubers (I'm still working on this but I have met a few more)
- Try and vlog once a week (This was a firm fail)
- Be more creative with my blog posts/videos (I'm working on this daily. I think I have improved since 2015)

2017 Goals:
Blog/YouTube related
Reach 150,000 views on my blog
Have 90,000 views & 4,000 subscribers on my YouTube channel
Plan to visit a YouTube convention in 2018 i.e Vidcon or Summer In The City
Upload at least 3-4 times a week on my blog
Work hard on my photography skills
Take more fashion photos for blog posts and Instagram photos

Personal
Work on my eating issues (I will upload a blog post about this soon)
Pass my driving test
Go to a music festival
Date someone
Spend less money on stupid things that I don't actually need
Keep having a good balance between good and bad foods
Learn to speak French again
Continue to work on a good balance between work & blogging/YouTube
