Video | How I Financed My Car At 21

Hey, guys so today's video is me explaining how I managed to finance my car. If some of you don't know I managed to pass my test last year and then a few months after I got my own car. I have financed it all by myself apart from the loan I took out from Natwest. I hope that this video helps some of you out who are going to be driving soon as well. I upload new videos weekly so if you like lifestyle, beauty or fashion videos click here to subscribe to my channel.

Wishlist | Forever 21 Valentines Day

Valentine's day is right around the corner. But have you got your outfit picked out? Even if you're just having a Galentine's day everyone should get the chance to feel special about what they are wearing. Many online stores are starting to pick out certain items of clothing or lingerie that you can wear on Valentines Day. Forever 21 have a great selection that are reasonably priced as well. You can expect my next few wishlists to be Valentines related. I'm not sure what I'm doing for Valentine's day this year we shall see...

Current Favourite Bloggers & YouTubers

If you have been on social media this week and you are a blogger or a YouTuber, read blogs or watch YouTube videos then I'm sure you would have heard of these two stories. One being where a blogger asked to stay for free in a hotel in Ireland which evolved into something bigger. On the other hand, the other story is the changes that have been made to the YouTube partnership program. These changes were that if you had under 1,000 subscribers and less than 4,000 views over the past month then you could no longer monetize your videos if you were already apart of the program. This blog post isn't about either of them but it is in relation to them.

This week I can't help but feel the love for the blogging community has grown exceptionally. The feedback from both of these stories has mainly been positive which is why I want to continue that positivity by sharing some of my current favourite bloggers & YouTubers. I'm really into YouTube at the moment so there will be more channels listed compared to blogs. I've always followed a mixture of larger bloggers/YouTubers as well as smaller ones. Due to these changes this week it won't stop me from following anyone because of the size of their following. Therefore, my favourites does include a mixture of larger and smaller content creators.

*Be Proud Of Who You Are.

Growing up I was always a friendly person I would talk to everyone and anyone so making friends was easy. However, as I grew older I found that things became more difficult. I started to have panic attacks which were related to a number of things. I also started to have social anxiety which are both things I still battle with on a daily basis.

In this blog post, I wanted to speak about being proud of yourself.  You can be proud of yourself for many reasons. Maybe you didn't eat chocolate today or maybe you managed to get on a packed train without feeling panicky. When I first started my blog back in 2014 I would never have had the confidence to wear lingerie on my blog so confidently. Fast forward to 2018 and here I am uploading a blog post wearing lingerie feeling proud of the photos I have taken.

I feel like over the past four years which were some of the hardest years of my life my blog and YouTube channel have kept me grounded. When I look back on who I used to be I remember feeling angry inside and with this anger, I would pick on small things that my friends would do which would create unnecessary arguments. Without out those arguments, I wouldn't be who I am today.

I am proud of who I am and what I have achieved. There are so many things that I have done in my life that make me proud. I always say that if you feel as if you have not done enough then always look at what you have achieved because when you look back on things from a different perspective you have done a great deal.

You should be proud of who you are because everyone is facing a battle that no one knows about. It could be the smallest thing in the world such as trying a food you hate or flying on an airplane. But these things can be huge things to others and when we achieve these things they are proud moments.

In 2018 my aim is to do more things that I can look back on in 2019 and be proud of. Whether it's uploading a blog post every day for a month or driving every day for a week these things mean a huge deal to me and to achieve these would make me proud of myself.

I am a big believer in working on bettering yourself. I always try to be a version of me whether it's reading more or taking time to focus on myself mentally or physically. If you could do one thing in 2018 it should be listing down a number of things you are proud of yourself for.

P.s this blog post may seem all over the place and it probably is but I just wanted to write down a few thoughts I've been having recently. Maybe they'll help you out as well as January is always a good time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the new one.

Wishlist | Rebellious Fashion

Yes I know it's not Wednesday and I usually upload wishlists on that day but I didn't manage to upload one this week, and I was dying to share with you some bits from Rebellious Fashion. I have seen Rebellious Fashion all over my Instagram recently so I decided to have a look at their website and I have fallen in love with so many of their items. I'm hoping to pick up a few things next month when I have a bit more money.

5 Video Ideas For Starting A YouTube Channel In 2018

I actually wrote a similar blog post like this way back in 2015. Till today it's my most popular blog post with 891 views in total. There are two blog posts that are more popular but they are giveaways so they're not really real blog posts. Ever since I have started a YouTube channel I always get asked by people what videos can I make or how do I start. Sometimes finding inspiration can be hard which is why I have decided to give you 5 ideas. You can see my previous blog post from 2015 here.

1. Seasonal Videos
It's no big surprise that seasonal videos are popular. Who doesn't love to watch Vlogmas or a Halloween costume tutorial? If you are a YouTuber or a blogger then you will know that views tend to go up when you upload something seasonal during that seasonal period. I have always found that when I upload Christmas vlogs during Christmas that they get more views than my other videos because people are searching for them at that time.

My most popular video ever is my Winter Wonderland Vlog which has 4.2k views. This is because I uploaded it during December when Winter Wonderland in London was open. Therefore, more people searched for it on YouTube to see what it's like before going there.

2. Weekly Videos
I have noticed that vloggers who post weekly vlogs tend to get a lot of engagement on those vlogs. They also build up a loyal group of subscribers who have subscribed to them just to watch those weekly vlogs. I have seen a number of YouTubers who have grown a lot because of the weekly vlogs that they upload. I would do weekly vlogging but mine would be super boring all I do is work, eat and sleep...

3. Outfits Of The Week/Lookbooks
I've found that this video is popular if it's under 5 minutes and has flashy editing. I've tried to do this once and it didn't turn out as smooth as I wanted it to be but it's still been quite a popular video with 1.3k views. I always find that a good thumbnail for it is to show a few of the different outfits but leaving a few out so some still remain a surprise for the video.

4. New Product Launches
This is a pretty self-explanatory one as when new things come out people always like to search for reviews of them before buying their own. When I have uploaded a video about a new product within it's first few weeks of being released I have seen the views go up quicker, compared to products I have spoken about that have been launched in the past.  My tip is to research what products are coming out soon and then as soon as they come out buy them or pre-order them and film the video as soon as you can.

5. A Big Life Update
People are nosy so of course when you update them with something big that has happened in your life they will want to know what it is. It's a known fact that big life updates are usually top videos on big channels. Updates such as birth videos, engagement announcements, breakups, buying a new house etc...These videos always attract interest because people want to know what's different in your life. Of course, it's up to you how much you want to share but things like going to university, starting a new job etc can also be big updates.

Smile! Simple Tips for a Healthier Mouth

You may think that keeping your mouth healthy it easier these days thanks to the advancement of toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other oral hygiene techniques, but there are more threats out there. High quantities of sugar are so prevalent in food and drink nowadays keeping your mouth healthy can be tough. Here are a few of the top ways that you can ensure your mouth stays healthier for longer.

Say Hello to Your Dentist
The first defence against oral health problems should be a regular visit to the dentist. It is estimated that around half of adults don’t go as often as they should. A professional will be able to catch problems such as decay, gum disease or trauma at the earliest stage when they are much easier to treat. They can also provide more cosmetic treatments like teeth whitening. So, if you have not seen your dentist in a while, now is the time to get to know them better!

Cut down on the crap!
As well as high quantities of sugar, fizzy drinks also contain phosphoric acid and citric acid which all contribute towards tooth decay. The more soda you drink, the softer your tooth enamel will become and the more likely it is that you will get cavities. So, drink less soda and more water. You should also be aiming to cut down on all sugary treats. You can combat their damage by rinsing your mouth out with water after consuming any, as well as ensuring you keep up a consistent brushing routine.

Choose Your Toothbrush Wisely
When you are choosing your next toothbrush, you should aim to go for one with soft bristles. Use a proper brushing technique and this should last around two to three months. When you start to notice that the bristles are becoming bent, the time has come to get a replacement. Otherwise, you could be causing unnecessary damage to your teeth and gums.

Practice a Proper Brushing Technique
It is all well and good having the best toothbrush in the world, but if you don’t practice a good brushing technique, it is not going to do you all that much good. You should hold the toothbrush at around a 45-degree angle pointing towards the gum line. Use gentle, short, circular motions. You should be aiming to brush each tooth around 10 to 15 times, but be careful of being overly aggressive as this can end up damaging your teeth and eroding your gum line.

Finish Off By Flossing
Like brushing, there is a right and wrong way of flossing. By flossing the right way your teeth and gums will be a lot healthier. You need around two inches between your fingers to work with, but plenty more than that wrapped around your fingers as you need to use a fresh section for each tooth. Keep the floss tight against the tooth as this will play a big part in breaking up plaque, but don’t be too aggressive to damage your gums.

*The Terracotta Dress

If you have been reading my blog or watching my videos for a long time then you will probably know that I don't go out much to bars or clubs I usually just go out to eat. However, I always like to look my best which is why I have a choice of about 4 or 5 favourites that I like to choose from to wear out. This one I got recently from NA-KD is a terracotta one sleeve folded dress. I have never owned a dress like this before and I'm glad I now have it in my collection.

If you are looking for more fashion dresses then check out NA-KD's collection. You can get this one for £36.95 in either terracotta or black. The material is very thick but fits your body tightly outlining your figure beautifully. I love the one shoulder effect as it gives a sense of sophistication but also something you would see on a runway as well. The length of the dress is perfect as I like to be conservative when it comes to my outfit choices.

As you can see I have chosen to pair this dress with black court heels to carry on the simplicity. I think straight hair or a low bun would go really well with this as well as a simple makeup look with a glossy lipgloss to make your lips stand out. A small dainty necklace and a ring or two could add those final touches to your outfit. I would pair it with my black waterfall coat to add that sophisticated touch to the look.

Wishlist | Missy Empire

Hey guys with the beginning of the New Year it's only right that I continue to upload wishlists on Wednesdays. I love putting them together as I always find things I would love to buy. However, in 2018 I am trying to save more rather than spend. I really want to try and have £1,000 in my savings account by the end of 2018. But I will continue to upload wishlists weekly for those of you who aren't on a spending ban and need inspiration (Let's be honest I'm doing these wishlists to fill my shopping craving.....).

Goodbye 2017 | Hello 2018

Who would have thought that on the 1st January 2018 that I would be up at 9am. I certainly didn't my original plans were to go out and get in about 5am but I should have known that wasn't going to happen as I'm a homely person at heart. Instead, I stayed at home with a friend, ordered a Chinese and watched endless films. We didn't even go to bed that late it was around 1am I reckon. Today I plan on cleaning and getting ready for the week ahead, baking a birthday cake for one of my colleagues & staying on the sofa watching films.

It does feel really good to wake up early on a Monday morning on the first day of the year to get things done. I'm currently listening to The Greatest Showman's soundtrack while writing this up. I saw the film on Saturday and it was amazing I highly recommend it! If you haven't read my Goodbye & Hello blog posts before then I have done one every year for the past three years. I review what happened in the year and set some goals for the year to come. I think that they're great blog posts to look back on and see what I have achieved in that year.

2017 was an amazing year I did so much. I visited a lot of amazing places and made friends from all over the world. It was a year full of laughter, fun, and love. I'm so lucky to have friends and family who really care about me and support me through everything I do and have done.
