The Sunday Topic:
I wanted to start a series that I’m going to be running for the whole year one that’s going to inspire people, make people happy and make them realise how beautiful life actually is!! So each Sunday I’m going to be posting a lifestyle post about something. This could be anything from good topics to dark topics that no one ever really talks about. By doing this I hope to open peoples eyes about how beautiful the world is but also how dark and lonely it can be.
So here in the UK you are able to get a official job when you turn 16 however some people get a job earlier if they have a family business for example. In life we all go to school, college and then maybe university or do an apprenticeship in order to get a job. It’s like main aim in life other than finding love, having a family, living in a nice house and generally having a comfortable life.
There are many jobs that someone can have and I know that sometimes amazing jobs are handed to people on silver platters because their family have links or they take over from their mum or dad’s business. However I guess that the majority of us have to work bloody hard in order to get the job that we want by climbing up the work ladder until you get to where you want.
Okay so the best thing about having a job is getting money right? Well I guess that’s what most people think anyways which is true it’s nice to be rewarded for your hard work. On the other hand a job offers you so much more from friendship to experience to having a new outlook on life.
I personally think that jobs are a great way to help you grow and develop as a person. I have found myself to have grown and changed so much since I started my job back in August of last year. I’m so much more confident when it comes to talking to people I’ve never spoken to before as my job has encouraged me to speak to new people each day. I have made so many friends that I know I’ll keep in contact with throughout the rest of my life.
Okay so sometimes you can have a job where the people aren’t nice. I have experienced this when I had my first ever job I was treated badly just because I was the “newbie” and everyone thought they were better than me. I cried most evenings after I had finished my shift because I hated it so much.
I managed to stay there for about a month before I quit because it made me so unhappy. Why should you stay in a job that doesn’t make you happy well you shouldn’t!! At that time in my life it was okay I was just about to start Sixth Form so I was going to be busy anyways so quitting my job wasn’t that big of a deal.
I was constantly being put down at work so I thought I’d rather be happy than be un-happy. I know that quitting your job when you’re unhappy and you have to try and look after a family etc… would be especially hard but I would say if you’re really unhappy then maybe consider quitting because there’s always going to be a job which is much better than the one you have out there for you.
Also you can have jobs that you just don’t find fun or entertaining but these jobs are ones you kind of have to go through before you get to your dream job. I know that some people like to sit at a desk and do their work (that would be my type of job) whereas other people like to be active whilst working.
Do I have a job?
Yes I do have a job which I’ve had for around six months now and I honestly love every minute of it. Although at times it can be quiet and some times it can be mega busy you never get bored. The people I work with are all lovely and I’m so glad that I get to work with them on a weekly basis.
Is my blog my job?
No. My blog is 100% a hobby and I’m hoping that it will always be don’t get me wrong it would be cool if it was my job but that’s not for me. I feel that sometimes when people get the chance to have their blog or youtube as their full time job their content can become all about advertising or sponsorships. It may be just be but sometimes I feel like some of the content is more forced than it would normally be.
What do I want to do in the future?
My overall job dream would be to own my own business however I can’t say what it would be about. In the nearer future though I’m planning on doing an apprenticeship in digital marketing which I should start later this year. I would then like to do a few years working in the media/marketing industry where I could pick up some skills and generally gain experience in that industry.
What’s your opinion?
