A little while back I posted a Oliver Bonas haul here on my blog which you can view here. Among the things that I picked up was this cute owl candle which is a Damson and Jasmine scent. It’s been a few weeks now so I thought it was the right time to write a review as I have used it a few times since I first brought it.
First of all how can I not mention the packaging the box itself is super cute and would look great just sitting on a shelf somewhere. I also really love the candle holder as it can be used to store make-up brushes for instance once I have used the candle up. I also like how this particular candle is made in the UK which means that I am giving something back to my country. Although we often give things to other countries I also think it’s important to give something back to your own country, town or neighbourhood. Whether its supporting small businesses or helping a neighbour out.
I am very impressed with the candle itself as it lasts a long time. I don’t really use it that much as it was £14 which is quite a lot so I use it for special occasions. I can definitely see this candle lasting me a long time which is good. I’m also glad that when the candle burns it doesn’t leave the black marks around the side of the holder which other candles do.
The smell of the candle is strong but not overpowering which I really like as I get headaches easily from strong scents. The scent lasts after the candle has been blown out as well. So there’s always a lovely smell lingering where you lit the candle for a little while. Overall I am really pleased that I decided to pick this candle up and I will definitely be checking out the other Oliver Bonas candles for the future. They do many different sizes such as small, medium, and even ones with three wicks I think.
If you have never tried any of the Oliver Bonas candles then I highly recommend them although they don’t do scents like the Yankee Candles. I actually prefer these scents some of the other ones that they have are Elderflower Fizz, Indian Pomelo, Exotic Fig and Ginger and Lime. They’re all different and unusual scents which you probably wouldn’t pick up which is why you should!
Have you ever tried a Oliver Bonas candle? Do you already own one? What’s your thoughts…
