The Eye Establishment

September 8, 2019 Leave a Comment

A few months ago, I was invited to the exclusive Garrett Leight summer event at The Eye Establishment in the heart of Kensington, London. I have worn glasses for as long as I can remember but I have always been a Specsavers or Boots opticians person. I was quite excited when I first got invited as I had never been to an event like this before so I was very interested to see what it was like. The Eye Establishment’s tagline is “Your eyes are so beautiful, i have fallen in love with them” which I absolutely love as I used to feel quite self-conscious wearing glasses growing up as I was pretty much the only person to wear glasses in my friendship group.

The whole event felt very upmarket and glamorous which is what you would expect from a premium opticians. I loved the decor inside as it really gave off a Summer vibe which was the main theme seeing as it was an event that took place in June. They have so many different options of glasses to choose from such as your regular day to day ones but also really cool and unique ones as well which were very fun to try on! They’re quite unique to other regular opticians as they “provide world-renowned medical health expertise” as well as “the best independent brands of optical frames and sunglasses”. Each pair of glasses are made with the highest quality of materials available as well as a lot of precision. They specialise in  Japanese handmade frames as well as brands from around the world that they have hand-picked themselves.

An average pair of glasses from The Eye Establishment can cost around £200 upwards depending on the brand, colour, and style of the glasses. The vibe that I got from the company is that they really take care of their clients from start to end and that they try to keep a long-lasting relationship going. The opticians felt very upmarket from the moment you entered as the decor is bright and the quality of the staff is very high that works there as they all have extensive knowledge. The Eye Establishment’s website states that “The Eye Establishment is the most contemporary, upscale venue for your eye examination in London.”

The whole event itself was well organised and I really enjoyed myself. I took my mum to the event as it was close to where we live and we both wear glasses so it was a good event for both of us to go to. My mum got a lot out of the event as she had many questions regarding her eyesight which were all answered in a lot of detail. I had great fun trying on all of the different types of glasses and sunglasses as I only have basic black glasses and sunglasses which are very standard and plain.

Overall, I really enjoyed myself at the event however, I will be honest and say that the Eye Establishment is a little above my price point. Having said that I will definitely be recommending them to people that I know will be able to afford it as the standard of service and products there is a lot higher than your normal Specsavers or Boots. I am very grateful to be invited to the event as it was a very exclusive event. I had never been to an event like it before so I really learnt a lot about how an opticians really operates and the time, effort and exclusivity that goes into The Eye Establishment as a whole brand globally.

The Eye Establishment states on their website that Our main goal is to provide an outstanding level of clinical care for our patients in the local community and beyond.” I believe this is 100% as there were many existing customers who attended the event and could not recommend the opticians enough. I’ve also seen on their social media platforms that they have been travelling the world to make their eyewear even more bespoke than it already is.

All guests were given a really cool goody bag to take home. First of all, I absolutely loved the gift bag as I am a sucker for cute packaging and this was right up my street. Inside the bag, itself were many different healthy snacks as well as a couple of healthy drinks. There were also some eye drops, eye cream, CBD oil, and a mask. I am definitely not a healthy eating person when it comes to snacks as my guilty pleasure is a big packet of crisps or a packet of Haribo’s however, I did give all of the snacks a go and some of them didn’t taste bad at all. I particularly enjoyed the sunflower pretzel bites as I’m a big fan of pretzels anyways.

I’d like to thank The Eye Establishment for inviting myself and my Mum to this event as we both enjoyed the uniqueness of it as well as the exclusivity. I’d also like to thank you for the goody bag which was well received by both myself and Mum. We had a lovely time and enjoyed speaking to the employees who were all so lovely and welcoming.

P.S. Sorry that it has taken me so long to write this up I have just been very busy with both work and home life since June…
