Hey everyone happy Sunday! Today’s blog post is all about my trip to The London Cabaret Club which I went to last October with my Mum for her birthday. I found out about this event through Design My Night which is an online website that lists any events that are going on in London. You can also book these events through the website which sometimes offers a discount. I had never heard of The London Cabaret Club before so as soon as I saw it listed on the website I knew that my Mum would love to go. The London Cabaret Club is based in Holborn which is a really easy place to get to and has lots of transport links.
If you aren’t sure what a cabaret club is then it’s a place where different talented acts come together to perform in one show. We went to see the Queen of Roses show which was based on Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Victoria, and Queen Elizabeth II. I had never actually been to a cabaret club before I had only ever seen cabaret shows on a cruise ship. When we got there we had a bit of time before the show started to sit in the lounge and have a drink. The entertainers do start to wander around the lounge as the start time of the show draws closer. As well as this one of the singers came out and sang a few songs for us all.
There are four types of tickets that you can purchase for each show these are:

I decided to get the Gold Ticket for us as this seemed like a good one to go for as it was our first time there. As soon as you enter the room they start playing live music to set the scene. When everyone has been seated the hoast will begin the show at the same time that your starters are coming out. For our starters, we had scallops and salmon which were both delicious. After the starters, had been served the acts began first of all they introduced Queen Elizabeth I who then went to sit on her throne at the back of the room to watch the entertainment.
All of the acts were incredibly talented and I enjoyed each and every one of them. The first few acts consisted of a cello player, some ballet dancing, and a man who was able to do some sort of acrobatics using his own body weight. Each act was about five to ten minutes long which I thought was really good value for money as sometimes they are only on for a short amount of time. The dancers featured in a lot of the different acts but they just wore a different costume. I really admired how they performed as it was a very long show about four hours long with hardly any intervals.
For the main course, we had fish and vegetables & steak and potatoes. Much like the starters, the main courses were equally as tasty and they were cooked to perfection. Mum and I often order one of each dish so that we can try each other’s dishes. The next few acts included some Irish dancing and Bollywood dancing. One thing I loved about the whole show was the costumes which were so beautifully made.
The London Cabaret Club have shows on all year round, however, they are tailored depending on the time of year. They often have a Halloween, Christmas, and New Year’s special. I think it would be a lot of fun to go to one of the themed ones as this one was pretty spectacular so I can imagine the themed ones will be extra special as well.
The last course was dessert! We both had the raspberry cheesecake, however, as it was my mum’s birthday they very kindly did a special design on her plate. I am normally not a cheesecake fan but this was a small portion and tasted really nice because of the raspberry sauce. The last section of the show was about Queen Elizabeth II all of the acts were amazing and the amount of energy that the dancers had throughout the show was incredible.
Overall, we both really enjoyed The London Cabaret Club and my Mum especially loved it. We stayed for another drink afterward as there was some live music in the bar area. I think this is a great idea for a special occasion or for a birthday present especially if the person you are going with likes a live entertainment show. All of the staff were so attentive and were all very lovely which just goes to show that they really do put their customers first. We will definitely be going back at some point and I know that my Mum wants to take one of her friends to it as well. In 2018 we went to Sketch, London for my Mum’s birthday you can read about our experience on my blog as well as I wrote a blog post up for that too.
