Hey everyone, today’s blog post is about my trip to Madison’s back in June which is a popular rooftop restaurant and bar in London. As restrictions were easing and we could now eat indoors the girls from my old job and I decided to go out for dinner as we hadn’t all met in person as some of the girls had joined while we were in lockdown. Madisons is quite popular in the Summer months as it has a large rooftop that overlooks St Pauls and often has a DJ so it’s a nice place to hang out. The way Madison’s menu works is slightly different from other restaurants as you can get two courses for £39 or three courses for £45. The course includes one side of your choice but it doesn’t include any additional ones or drinks.
I decided to get two courses for £39 however, it came to a little bit more as I had an additional side. For my main, I went for the 8oz sirloin steak with Red Leicester mac ‘n’ cheese and truffle oil & parmesan fries which was an additional £6.00. For dessert, I got the Oreo Cheesecake which was yummy but a bit too sweet for me at that moment in time. I often have to be in the mood for something really sweet. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have a bigger dessert menu, however, I can definitely see why people come here as the food was really good and we all enjoyed our dishes.
After our dinner, we all headed out to the rooftop to take some photos as the sun was setting and it was the best time to take them. I can definitely see why people come here to take photos as the sun sets perfectly over the rooftop which makes some great photos. It is definitely an instagrammable place and you often see a lot of celebrities who go there. The only downside I would say is that when it is really busy the service can be a bit slow, however, our waiter was so lovely and apologetic it made me feel sad for them as they were probably down a lot of staff due to covid. I would definitely go there again as I had a really nice time I would say that it’s more of a place to go during the warmer months rather than the colder ones.
